AuthorNew Guild - Hunter Guild Expansion
I drafted this idea after DiN's suggestion in this thread:
https://www.lordswm.com/forum_messages.php?tid=1986526 #4

Suggestion:
It has become obvious that assisting in hunts is fairly pointless. True, clans have been formed to combat this by offering hunt assists for members and friends can contact each other for assistance. So I propose a new guild, Tracker Guild, to provide new bonuses to hunt assistants.

Reason:
The rewards for assisting hunts are so low that most players shy away from helping difficult hunts.
-No guarantee of gold
-Low chance of artifact
-Low FSP
-Low CL Experience
-Decreased durability of artifacts (loss of gold, essentially)
-0.1 Hunter Guild Experience

Technicals:
The new guild would provide bonuses to people who routinely assist in hunts. It could be similar to the Mercenaries Guild or the Thieves Guild in advancement using their Experience Tables but providing different bonuses. Each additional level in the Trackers Guild would provide additional perks to assisting in hunts. Example (Trackers Guild Level/Points/Perks
0-0-[Ability to Assist in Hunt]
1-50-[+10% FSP from hunt assist, +5% arti chance, +10% HG XP, +3% gold]
2-120-[+10% FSP from hunt assist, +6% arti chance, +11% HG XP, +3% gold]
3-300-[+10% FSP from hunt assist, +7% arti chance, +12% HG XP, +3% gold]
4-600-[+10% FSP from hunt assist, +8% arti chance, +13% HG XP, +3% gold]
5-1000-[+10% FSP from hunt assist, +9% arti chance, +15% HG XP, +3% gold]
PLEASE NOTE: The +% arti chance is a +% of the current %. So if you have a 20% chance of an artifact then at Trackers Guild level 5 you would have a total of 27% chance of an artifact, NOT 55%.

Total benefit of Level 5 Trackers Guild:
[+50% FSP from hunt assist, +35% arti chance, +60% HG XP, +15% gold]
For example, if you are assisting in a hunt that grants 1000 XP, 200 gold, and 1 ore and you perform 50% of the damage, then you would receive the following:
1-[500xp, 0.275 FSP, increased chance of arti, 0.11HG XP, 6 gold]
2-[500xp, 0.3 FSP, inreased chance of arti, 0.121 HG XP, 12 gold]
3-[500xp, 0.325 FSP, increased chance of arti, 0.133 HG XP, 18 gold]
4-[500xp, 0.35 FSP, increased chance of arti, 0.146 HG XP, 24 gold]
5-[500xp, 0.375 FSP, increased chance of arti, 0.16 HG XP, 30 gold]
NOTE: The assistant has no chance of receiving the ore (or any other resources), this does not change.
I don't know whether the gold should be generated (created) or deducted from the initiator (force-shared).
Balance / Abuse Issues:
I would be a good idea to implement a Abuse System for this, perhaps additional rules or such that this benefit will not be given to members of the same Military Clan to prevent boosting issues of players requesting assitance on every hunt.
Also, I suggest that for players to receive Trackers Guild Experience the initiator's battle must be above YELLOW difficulty. This is to prevent people from requesting assists on every hunt to "boost" friendly players.
Additionally, I suggest that Trackers Guild XP DOES NOT get awarded when a player places a filter on their assist request (Either for a specific player or a specific clan)

Closing:
I believe this will provide at least some incentive for players to assist in hunt. At the present, there is little-to-no incentive for players to assist other than simply helping a friend.
Please leave your comments, questions, or concerns. Some credit goes to DiN for lightly proposing the idea in the aforementioned thread.
Big +1
+1 Very good idea
Thank you :)

I just noticed one issue, the name of the guild... Perhaps a different name because Trackers Guild abbreviation would clash with Thieves Guild. Its just a cosmetic issue, but still...
Its a gud Idea,But i think we dnt need more guilds or else it will complicate the game :)
Brilliance
I see your point, but this is a simple guild exclusively tied to the existing Hunter's Guild. It would not complicate the "game" it would simply "compliment" the existing hunting facet of the game. The entire suggestion was created to service a massive fault/shortcoming of the game.

The suggestion, though it does increase the complexities of the game does not spread anywhere else. Hunting still gives less FSP than combats, the potential gold from hunt assist did not increase significantly (still below the durability wear), and maximal HG XP from hunt assist is 16% of a normal hunt rather than 10%.

In the grand scheme, these are VERY minimal bonuses!

and to let the players know if it is a medium hunt or not it the level of the hunt should be mentioned to let the players know if they'll get tracker's guild bonuses or not

Good point... but I don't quite know how that would be done. Color coding, maybe? Grey and green = no bonus while yellow and red = bonus?

Certainly worth thinking about, maybe one of the others can think of a good implementation idea for that aspect?

Won't help. Even today there're a lot abusers and they don't need to have their non-signed-alt character or alt character of their friend specially created for this to be in the same military clan just to call their main characters/friends to easy hunts.

You have also forgotten about minium kill needed to get a point of that tracker guild, or else you'll see a player calling his friend again and again, and that friend will just stant whole battle and skip turns getting 0 XP, 0 FSP and raising his guild and even getting some gold and probably art drop.

The whole current assist thingy gives more reasons to abuse/exploit already, than helping players, if this feature is removed from the game, it'll be much better. Your suggestion improves it even more, every exploiter will be happy to your suggestion being implemented.

Also I hope it doesn't affect spontaneous pair hunts in any way, because there're even such people who get some mob to green/yellow/red difficulty, then just hunt it over and over, and if they don't run away, they just going afk and autolose, if they run away, they fight and get XP, 0.5 FSP and mobs ammount doesn't raise, so they're hunting the same ammount of mobs again and again. Green/yellow/red mobs on low levels aren't that high ammount, really, so it's easy to fight them and get a lot FSP by this way in the end. It's not fixed and may never be fixed. As for calling for help, they just make a character, train them on some hard-hunts-only, leaving gremlins and other untouched, and then call their friend's main character or their own main character to assist in fighting 15 gremlins, etc. You suggested about 'above yellow difficulty', then also suggest about min level, because yellow on low level are easy hunts and it'll be used by exploiters.

Also it can be merged with mercenary guild, instead of creating a new one.
I think you are mistaken. It is impossible to get to level 5 in the guild I am proposing in any way, shape, or form. 1000 combats required kinda ensures that. Even through just retalliation in hunt assists you would reach level 5 around 300-350.

Additionally, anti-abuse features for this already exist within the game, you have to be the same combat level. This weeds out alot of boosters because it is not financially sound to do the hunt assists past level 5 because of the AP requirements and gold-loss.

Also, boosting in this manner doesn't make sense at ALL because it would require 1000 hunts to get something that provides no external benefit. It also is unsound because you would only get trackers points if the hunt is over yellow difficulty (which for all intents and purposes is not particularly common)

Additionally, in the beginning of your post you start saying that "easy" hunts would cause exploitation of the guild... Easy hunts are grey and green, yellow and red are not particularly easy, especially above CL 5.

It seems the only true gripe you have would be fixed by requiring a minimum Combat Level requirement to avoid the hunts below level 5...
Not really necessary..If your not getting anyone to help you, that's your problem.

Good idea, but a problem is that a red hunt for a faction might be white for elf/DE, so maybe something should be implemented for this as well?

It has become obvious that assisting in hunts is fairly pointless.

Hunts, solo or assisted, will get hopelessly difficult after a certain point if you do not manage it. Giving more incentives for assistance will not change that. Why complicate the game unnecessarily when you could fix this "problem" by avoiding hard hunts (which you will eventually do even with this suggestion) or by sharing your hunts when they are still easy or by doing something else like thieving?
