if someone askes for assistance in a hunt, and at the end of the 5 minutes no one has joined, you should have the chance to cancel the hunt and reask for help |

or just decrease exp / increase fsp for assistant / give gold to assistant , so it actually makes sense to help and people would join.
Now its just a terrible ratio with a small chance for an art. Even if you can, you shouldnt join it. |

i had that kind of situation few times especially at night hours and at some locations that when i asked for help no one joined and i was unable to win a hunt |

Has been suggested before but still a very valid improvement. Even if withdrawing is not allowed at least let you change arts and talents if you are going to have to attempt it solo.
Make it so it actually makes sense to help and people would join. Perhaps a new guild of "swords for hire" (was going to say mercenaries but we already have this) with it's own levels and rewards just like other guilds.
It is not good for people who dont have regular hunt partners to either potentially over-dress in case they don't get assistance or end up doing a fight they are not equiped to win because they were depending on help.
Lots of things could be done any of which would make it better. |

+1 to DiN Idea of separate guild for those who help in hunt(but it may take a long time to gain points for this guild) BUT...

Ah, yes... where levels would increase the amount gained from hunt assists as well... (xp, fsp, arti chance, and real gold) I would throw FULL support behind this idea (though it would have to be nullified for specific assists, where players are specifically chosen - would lead to abuse, also perhaps with a specific difficulty level)

-1 Cancelling hunts is not necessarily a good thing. The general theme of the game is self-reliance with teamwork only when needed. This is why we have financial assist and stringent loan rules. Hunts should follow the same general outline. |

Sorry for the double post, but to add to my previous point:
If you are doubtful about a hunt, or cant find an assistant to help you BEFORE you attempt a difficult hunt; then you must remember that it is always easier to "Pass by" and save yourself both the recovery time and the usefullness of your artifacts. |
I think that introducing an IA player (like in Quick Tournament) would be an easy and good way to solve this problem. |
