AuthorWATCH OUT for resellers.
Just want to let the community about resellers like: Vincent55

Buying 'cheap', reselling MUCH higher.

Watch out when you buy rare items on the market.

It is unfortunate due to our low population, we dont get a healthy supply of these rare items and price can go up becasue of resellers.

So advertise you products in the forum and do a private sale.

But dont base your sell price on market price.
Are you trading anything here?

Here is one part of the trading services.
Are you trading anything here?
It's called merchandising, it's a valuable part of any economy, even virtually.

Are you selling or buying anything?

It's called monopolizing.
nothing to watch for. they are just making a quick buck. people do it with arts and elements
There is nothing wrong with doing it. If a person wants to sell at a certain price he will, regardless of whether the buyer will then resell it or not. If the selleris happy with his own selling price and the buyer is also happy with the price, then there's no problem.

Stopping people from reselling or telling people to not sell to resellers is stopping market forces.

And also telling people to not sell anything at all from the artifact since they bought it from a factory or the shop in the first place and are reselling it. You shouldn't even sell 0/X artifacts to empire by clicking that sell link in your inventory either then.

These things happen. Mall shops buy from suppliers, suppliers buy from wholesalers, wholesalers buy from factories. That's real life. No value-add, no additional service. Are you going to sue Macy's or Best-Buy for buying cheap and selling high? Are you going to Dow Jones and condemning the traders there?

Wake up from your own dream world.

First its not quick money. Quick money are sent from your multi. Waiting for a thief armor to sell for 2 weeks is not making quick money. Although this Vincent especially has some skeletons in his chest but he is already a topic elsewhere.

But yes, traders are EVIL.

Yes I agree with you takesister. People are free to sell buy at what ever rates. BUT there should be a mechanism so that smart people can get informed of current rates and trends in item prices to avoid getting 'robbed'.

But I find it irrelevant and I loled when you compared our 'puny' Lordswm market to real life stuff... ALSO: "Stopping people from reselling or telling people to not sell to resellers is stopping market forces."

Smart people who manage business you mentioned BY-PASS this whole CHAIN OF SUPPLIERS. They get it from the wholesalers but most likely from producers. So I believe you are wrong, NOT selling to RESELLERS wont hurt the market becasue everyone here can SELL their loots themselves.

In the current situation, it's more like small businesses (a valid profession) who PREY on uninformed / ignorant / too-lasy-to-investigate-price peoples.

AGAIN I believe RESELLERS is A valid mini-profession but the aim of this post was to INFORM / WARN when selling to 'business-minded' peoples when they CAN do it themselves and earn a BIGGER profit without inflating the system. However, AGAIN the problem arise when these people dont know HOW much their loots are worth since there is no information or thrends on item pricing.

Oh and please dont tell me to wake up. I know exactly in what kind of capitalistic world I live in. No need to call me names when all i want to do is tell people they cans sell their loots themselves rather than to 'sharks'.

Ahem, than whats the market for? Can I get a refund for the construction, and tax rebates from Empire?

And for #10
You totally got it wrong when you mentioned the word PREY. Sellers put up their wares on a public market, with a price which is VISIBLE to every player in this game, so how the hell are these sellers PREYING?

You can only PREY on someone that is unsuspecting. Transfer logs can be referenced, prices can be compared openly on the forums and against other sellers peddling the same wares. Its all VISIBLE. The onus of the interested party to do a price check, so don't ACCUSE sellers of PREYING.

Most importantly, you forget the most basic idea of a free market. Prices are DETERMINED by supply/demand. If you intend to reply to my post, better understand my previous sentence.

If you really want to help players identify the value of their wares, I don't see how your first post taught us so. Wouldn't it be more constructive to relay your kind intentions by documenting and writing a f.a.q for trading? And please no more caps, they hurt eyes.
well it's a way of earning money
well it's a way of earning money

Sure, it's a way of earning money.

But there are many ways of earning money: illegal, legal but immoral and OK ones.

Monopolizing stuff is certainly legal. But whether it is OK to do or not is up to each person's own moral standards.

Wow, that's pretty brutal, don't you think? Hey, at least Gyver can count :P

I agree with you gem85. You hit it right on the head. If I buy an item so I can enroll, I sell it for just enough to pay for taxes and maybe a few gold more but I won't overprice something. And there are laws in some nations against Price Gouging. (Taking advantage of a situation to rip off the public.)
Whatever your conscience can handle I suppose.

I'm with you on this one Gyver.
for Modi:
she didn`t miscounted 5 times this was a group battel and those were in the battel and she sent he gold to them

I saw it and that was not me typing "miscounted", it was her.
You don't understand. She miscounted, but only once, not five times in a row as you say.

On topic: Personally I like the market, and I like to earn money from it by closely following it and deciding when it's the right time to sell something. This isn't that easy, and it takes quite some time, so I think it's absolutely ok if it pays off in the end.

Let everyone play the way they like, as long as it's within the rules. And don't try to pretend that your way of playing is somehow morally righter than mine.
Miscounted 5 times in a row? Hmmm.... Its just a compensation for not following the battle description. What part is confusing?

Whatever your conscience can handle I suppose.
Also no seller is FORCING anyone to buy anything. You want your shop art cheaper? Buy them at artifact shop then. You want your thief cloak for 30000 instead of 34000? Just stare at the market and stare and stare and I promise you, you can buy a cheap one in a week. Those sellers who sell things like thief ring for 39000 know the real price. If you sell the thief ring for 45000, it takes a week to sell. Put it on market for 39500 and some reselling weirdo will buy it in minutes.

Chances are equal. Everyone is alone at the market. Everyone except Litwin.:-)

Shhh Don't let the facts get in the way of a good story, OK? :P
