The final report on the finished combat operation could not be construed differently, other than confirming another triumph of the Empire in her fight against the smugglers. However, it also contained a number of warnings from the Security Service. Without a doubt, the number of caravans with illegal cargo has significantly decreased, but the smugglers’ methods have changed greatly. They are adapting by devising new strategies and employing the most unexpected routes. Special mention should be given to the newly tested tactics, which have proved quite effective, but still need to be refined in the area of excessive rigidity of the flanks. However, the information on the unknown observers and mysterious female ally was temporarily classified until further notice from Councilor Feurlis.

Meanwhile, the laboratory of the сourt mage could not boast of a cheerful atmosphere. It seemed the arcane ritual did not yield the desired result.
"But how can this be?.." asked the efreeti with a mixture of disappointment and confusion, observing herself still in the same demonic form.
"I'm afraid your bond with this entity is already too strong," Abu-Bakir answered thoughtfully, "Neither sorcery nor even magic from the Heart of the Source itself can sever it on this side of the veil. I believe there is only one force capable of helping you…"
"The Supreme Sultanate?.." suggested the spectral demoness. However, as soon as these words were uttered, the flames in her eyes were instantly eclipsed by the shadow of approaching fear, "But I came to you to avoid the moralizing lectures from those snobs... Was it all in vain?.." The feeling of fear began to give way to despair.
"But why?.." the court mage asked again, kindly smiling, "You have come a long way in understanding yourself. You do not look like an uncontrollable burst of flame that almost reduced my laboratory to ashes." Her eyes dropped with guilt as the sorcerer continued, "Besides, you managed to find common ground with Councilor Feurlis. That’s quite an achievement. To be honest, I’m sometimes afraid of him myself, despite being his friend."
"A conversation with the Supreme Sultanate is like having countless Feurlises sitting in your head at the same time. They see right through you, reproach, reprimand, teach, instruct… And also…" she suddenly stammered in horror, "they certainly won't allow me to keep these little horns."
"But surely this is far from the worst and most terrible thing that has happened in your life," the sorcerer said again, but this time with a rather restrained smile.
"You are probably righ,t" the efreeti answered with a heavy sigh, glancing briefly at the petal presented to the magician, which calmly and carefreely floated inside the crystal flask standing on his desk, "I will find the right words to speak with them. Thank you, Abu-Bakir."

The efreeti impulsively rushed to hug goodbye, but at the last moment she froze, noticing a slightly charred corner of the magician's robe, and said with a smile, "This time I won't singe you. I promise." Abu-Bakir reciprocated the hug and stepped back as he did not want to interfere with the return ritual. As the dissipation of residual sparks finally settled and faded away, the sorcerer turned his gaze to the same petal gifted to him by Khalifa, inadvertently recalling the moment of their unexpected first meeting.

Lords and Ladies, the combat operation to catch the smugglers has been completed! Based on its results, many conclusions still need to be drawn, but the overall success of the operation is undeniable! Councilor Feurlis on behalf of the Empire is grateful to everyone who contributed to this effort. All those who successfully intercepted at least 10 caravans are awarded a unique captured artifact and an achievement. The durability of the artifact depends on the number of event points scored.
