Leap increases dmg by 10% per tile; fortification reduces by 10% per tile.
So, they should cancel each other out in most practical situations. Except fortification damage reduction is capped at 90%, while leap is only capped by tiles moved. So, at 10 or more tiles moved, leap has the advantage. |

If they are combined additively. If they are combined multiplicatively, fortification is stronger. Even at 10 tiles, leap doubles the damage, but fortification divides it by 10. |
| I agree with you. Which way it's calculated is unclear. The descriptions of abilities can only go so far, and it's a bit of a niche thing to worry about, but the only way to answer OP with confidence is by testing it out. |
| I am able to calculate. My question was whether anyone knows for sure that it works. In the description, fortification is applicable for tiles 'covered', but in case of leap the tiles are 'leapt'. I would like to know whether somebody happened to experience this in a LG battle. |
| One should be able to engineer a test using leg battles. I'll try to look out for one with an enemy troop of diffusion and then take aleaping troop or two |

for Lord MilesTeg: using leg wouldnt be a good indicator. leap increases attack by 10% per tile so in leg fiends have 3 attack so leaping 8 tiles only increases their attack by 2.4 which is nothing. if you play dark demon though and your fiends have 80 attack leapng 8 tiles will increase their attack to 144.
each attack point increases damage around 3% for attack that high so each ttile leaping would increase fiends damage around 24% while fortification reduces it by 10%
so a good estimate on the interaction should be 1*1.24*.9 for 1 tile leap and 1*2.92*.2 for 8 tile leap
this is just an approximation since i dont know the exact amount each attack increases damage by. |
