Author | Estates - time for reinvent ? |
Question for more seasoned players and admins - was/is there a plan to revamp and reinvent the Estates ? It seems that all are but dead - I was thinking that reinventing them or maybe giving them new functionality would resurrect the interest there.
What say you ? |

What new functionality are you thinking of? |
They got their storage space increased "recently". That and faster health restore is their main use.
I don't remember any points from admins on revamping this. I'd personally say if there was it would be more on the back burner. There are a few things that have a bit more priority. They won't answer you directly so you'll only get speculation in this thread.
If you got a suggestion create a suggestion thread |

Any info on what that is? |

Perhaps. Personally, I'd say the main benefit is having an expanded storage capacity of 150 arts because at some point the base inventory capacity no longer suffices, at least without ABC. You get there eventually with the donation arts and some memorable anniversary arts. And this is with me not bothering to collect heaven/dark/fear/magma/whatever junk arts you get from playing events that cannot be used for PvP, or transferred except for repairs, nor can they be sold. A suggestion should be made for those arts to not take inventory space, but that's a tangent you didn't ask about.
The second benefit is a 60% boost to health/mana regen. Although quite nice, it should not be an incentive to buy. At 4 million for a 5-star estate, you can buy more than 2500 potions that restore you instantly to 100%. It will take years to lose 2500 battles if you don't use mirror for everything. And you probably don't need to restore back to 100% immediately after each loss so yeah too long. |
Even better, you can just rent a room for 100 gold per day when you need it. You won't spend 4 million this way in a hundred years. |
honestl;y the biggest benefit was the 60 extra inventory. and they recently bumped it up to 150 so thats quite nice |
for Ulmo:
That's true as well. I forgot they buffed the regen bonus too. It used to be 33% for renters, not at 55% its almost same as the owner. |
now at 55%* instead of not. |
I don't think there is any plan to reinvent and estates are basically redundant now.
They are from the early game when regen times were high (with no potion) and players had smaller inventories. Both problems that are basically solved.
People complain and say estates are way to expensive and don't have value but don't forget the prices are set by the players. If they aren't valuable the price should be lower, people just refuse to sell at a loss. |
