AuthorWhy do people say theives is worthless guild watcher more important
Lets assume you do 5(3 tasks plus 2 defenses a day) perfect WG a day from lv 0. It would take about 8 years to max it out. So they say it is a hard guild to lv cause it takes irl time. Now assume you do 10 thieves a day.(i just doubled the watchers guild amount). It would take 17 years to complete thieves. To take as much time to lv thieves as you do watchers you would have to do 20 thieves a day. Is initiative just a useless stat or? Not to mention that if you stay ahead of the curve thieves guild can be quite profitable for your lv. I make about 3-400 per theive win at my lv.
Thief is not worthless and is definitely worth having.

I would recommend staying in the medium range when it comes to thief (for example, thief level 10 or 11 at CL 20). More than this is unnecessary because each thief level grants a lot of XP, causing you to level up faster without gaining good stats in other areas.

You can fully commit to TG, as demonstrated by a CL 20 player with level 15 thief. He is always faster than me in CG but lacks 5 attack stats. This means he will still lose in a 1v1 while almost reaching CL 21.

Once you reach CL 23, it no longer matters, and you can continue grinding. However, I would never go all-in on thief at lower levels, opting instead for what would be average for the level I'm in.
Ah i see i see
Well it's not about completing the guild. That doesn't really mean anything.

Thief is easy to get, if you need to rush it it's possible to get 50 points a day. Not possible with wg.

The relative importance of thief guild varies with level and faction. Thief is most important for the shoot first factions at max level. At lower levels thief breaks your character because of the trash guild to exp ratio.
I wouldn't take any advise from someone who said TG is worthless.

The xp is/was the main factor to watch out for TG, this is also not that huge after the many changes that have been done in game mechanics, it's more people opinions who haven't adapt with them or pay attention.
Right now my TG gives way less exp than HG or MG for example.

It's the limitation of WG that makes it a must do, nothing more nothing less. I was from the first ones to hit WG 5 and stopped/bored there, I can't make it up for it like I can with TG.
Just waiting for another change or when the WG potion apply to me.
High focus is quite important when you first start the game as there is very much a better party on that request and you tend to have significantly more strain with regard to how you use your gold. The later you get the more this constraint decreases and the more viable each guild becomes. Such by the time you are at the point you are now, it is fair that you do a bit of everything and should follow more your personal preference rather than one specific 'best' choice. Within this I find wg a nice way of keeping things ticking over, breaking the penalty from too many sequential enrolls and levelling up a faction
