I'm facing too much difficulty killing these caravans, how do I overcome this? |
i think there is dynamic balancing. if you win, the next caravan will be harder and if you lose, the next caravan will be easier. there is no need to wear full ap in tg |
even with full ap, im losing at times |
read what i wrote again. every time you win, the difficulty increases. so even if you were to wear fully enchanted magma set, you will eventually reach a point where you lose because the difficulty keeps increasing
the only way to get lower difficulty is TO LOSE |
thanks |
There are different schools of thought with tg as to what the best approach is in terms of which arts to wear.
Personally I go for a 5x1p enchanted sword of might as the cheapest decent art to repair with high durability. This is because on a loss the amount the difficulty decreases is related to how many fsp you gained. This favours high ini builds with large damage output, IE glass cannon. As you gain tg levels the good reward increases, so for me now tg at least breaks even and will start to bring in a profit (at least I think so, I cannot be bothered to do the maths). The other benefit is I only have to think about one art, so switching gear and repairs etc is kept as straight forward as possible. |
Miles is right and higher AP will get you a higher win rate although the difference between full AP and min AP in terms of win percentage doesn't make up for the cost.
In TG you have to manage your losses too. The biggest difficulty reduction occurs when you almost kill the caravan i.e. 1 troop left, maximum fsp gained. If a caravan is difficult it can be good to deliberately lose it so kill 90% of troops and let the last few kill you.
In the situation where the caravans are super hard you will have to wear more arts to get the difficulty down. If you get absolutely crushed by a caravan the difficulty will barely decrease. You will need to wear the AP so you nearly win.
It takes a lot of losing, each faction has 6 or 7 caravan types and you will have to lose each one a few times. TG is about managing dynamic balance. |
I lost 4 battles in a row so far today, its very irritating, caravan of elves killed me without me playing much |
It happens, winning runs happen quick, losing ribs with an hour in between are more frustrating and tend to be remembered more.
This often happens when you get easier enemies when your battles are getting harder, thus winning at a difficulty level higher than normal. When you then lose it is to a much harder enemy, you get less fsp and so the difficulty decrease by a lower amount.
It is worth being aware of this such that if you have a borderline battle which you may win if you play well, it is better long term to play less well and lose marginally. Your will always lose at some point, better to lose a bit earlier and only lose once than push a winning streak too high and have to lose far more to get back to the same point. |
yeah if you've been grinding it with arts/enchantments, you just gotta fail infinite times to make it winnable again.. so the moral of the story is, min ap |
I grind it with minimum arts so I profit every time |
Waste of gold to do full ap since this just ramps difficulty faster, better get minimum arts and profit, at least if ur thrive lv is high that is |
