AuthorNew Equipment Rule: Collectible
There have traditionally been two equipment rules:

- Standard: Shop artifacts only. Enchantments have no effect.

- FFA: Any artifact can be used. Enchantments work.

This new event introduced a third rule, but did not give it a name:

- Current event(Dwarven Merriment): Any artifact can be used. Enchantments have NO effect.

I love the idea of this rule since it gives value to all the collectible artifacts we have gotten as event rewards in the past.

There is one problem though, later stages of the event must be balanced around the strongest artifacts in the game: Magma/Heaven/Dark/Imperial/Fear artifacts (untransferable sets).

This means that despite this new rules, event reward artifacts still don't have much use, since you'll have to use untransferable sets anyways. Why collect the stalker set if Magma can be used in all the same battles but make you stronger? The top players even used untransferable sets for the entire event and found the early stages too easy.

My suggestion is to make a third rule for future events of this kind:

- Collectible: Any artifact THAT CAN BE TRANSFERRED can be used. Enchantments have no effect.

Events with this rule will encourage players to collect event artifacts and not just rely on their untransferable set for everything.
Then what is my untransfersvle set for
For regular FFA?
those who choose to use top 3 sets lose a LOT of gold in this event which is what admins want. its just free rank 1 at the cost of a lot of gold. the very first pay to win event imo.

i personally like the fact i can finally use my magma set, sure it makes the event too easy but it is quite enjoyable 1 shotting enemy before they move with invokers with magma bonuses
Pay to win events aren't healthy for the game though *shrug*
They are not healthy for the game in so far as fairness of its development, however if all players here were like me then the servers would not be able to run as the devs would earn no money, or else we would have to deal with adds.

As such their needs to be sufficient incentive for those that donate to actually do so. What that balance is is obviously subjective, but as a person who gets the advantage without the cost, then I don't feel I can fairly comment against pay to win features too much.

With regard to the thread, the collectable sets you mentioned are currently I believe heavily used for things like the campaigns, where you want something better than shop, but not as expensive as the non-transferable.

So far my intended use for imperial set etc was back up in case a campaign battle was too hard, just not had the need so far.

this is the need of the hour, this way we are shooing away new players or old returning players
or just make all items transferable, so I can rent it from clan depository
+1 and make potions work on this kind of event
