What are interceptions in clan defenses?
I know how the regular "survilurgs attack you! defend!" works, but what about interceptions? |
Whenever a facility has an upcoming defense, an enemy military clan can "intercept" that defense basically sorta killing the PvE survilurgs and replacing them with your PvP lines. The intercept battle itself is the same as a PvE defense.
Each successful intercept replaces 1 PvE line of the defense into a PvP defense (up to 3 lines per facility defense). I think intercepts can only be done/counted in the first 20 minutes of a defense (from whenever it appears in the Battles for Faciilities tab). This basically means that whenever the defending clan fills a line where a successful intercept was done, the attacking clan can fill it with players thus making it a PvP battle.
Many clans can do intercepts at once for the same facility, however whoever finishes the battle first gets the line for PvP attack. This is why you usually see messages to use mirrors/auto as soon as possible during intercepts to finish first to get the line.
If a PvP line afterwards is not filled by the attacking clan, then the defending clan gets a regular PvE defense with the added bonus that if enough army survives then they don't get their artifacts worn |
Thank you! |
someone has a battle link to watch it |

for dariel:
that's a normal defense |
Why would a clan intercept an attack, but then not fill it out with people for PVP against the defending clan? |
that's a normal defense
No it's not. Watch the battle result: interception successful. Total 5280 gold awarded to lords from clan #1209 treasury.
There is no real difference between a normal def and an interception.
Why would a clan intercept an attack, but then not fill it out with people for PVP against the defending clan?
*to help |
Why would a clan intercept an attack, but then not fill it out with people for PVP against the defending clan?
*to help protect a friendly clan, because enemy clans can't attack using that free line.
*to protect a friendly clan, so that it can attack an enemy clan without having to be afraid for an attack on their own facility (which means losing that facility or needing another 6 well-armed defenders).
*The attackers don't have enough players at the ready.
*They don't have the correct type of attackers: the total sum of combat levels of the two attackers can't be higher than the the total sum of combat levels of the two defenders. (Unless the defenders use very low combat levels). |
therefore before a PVP battle among clans it is needed a interception. I didn't know that |
