Dear Players,
below our TOP advices to make gold surplus and afford playing events and defences.
1) Absolutely avoid roulette. Do not play cards for gold as very few can earn on it.
2) Enroll as much as possible. Use phone when outside and when you have a free moment. Postpone PvE battles if your enroll time is about to come.
3) Play map battles if they are winable in minimum AP - this way you make higher gold reward than the cost of artifacts used. You can sell hunter artifacts or MG elements for extra profit.
4) Play events wisely and read event advices from the Clan before doing battles. Avoid using too cheap artifacts - increased loss count will make you spend more gold. You will waste a lot of time which could have been spent on higher event score.
5) Select defence artifacts wisely. Try to use some items which are from same sets to activate set bonus. Better to overequip and get paid 130% than underequip, lose and get nothing.
6) Avoid playing battles which do not give gold reward such as regular PvP.
7) Buy diamonds during game promotions and sell received premium artifacts if not using them often enough. Sell when price rebounces to good price level.
8) Trade shop artifacts during events when they are sold on market with premium to facility price.
9) If you bought TGI, try to get to TG lvl 5 as soon as possible and sell the TGI to get your money back.
10) Avoid buying shop artifacts or resources on market when they are buyable on the map. Usually you will save at least 1-2% of the price. Generally try to look for good price for at least 1-2 days before buying expensive item.

To add on, even shop artifacts in the artifact shop is slightly more expensive than buying from the production facilities. Always purchase from the production facilities on map. Renew artifacts that are only available in artifact shop, such as light axe and mage artifacts
You can also try trading resources in facilities, such as buying gems from gem mines at 360 gold, and selling to a production facility at 363 gold. Will need a mount to travel though because demand gets filled rather quickly. Small profits and takes a bit of effort though
