The ignominious death of Dark Lord Alfar dealt a tangible blow to the monolithic might of the Army of Darkness, a creation of his mad genius. Scattered and confused, the army was instantly on the radar of a multitude of scavengers among the Free Necromancers. Despite the excessive arrogance of many dark soldiers, some still managed to lay their pale and bony hands upon the fallen lord's legacy. This could not but cause some concern to imperial intelligence, even though everything was proceeding strictly according to Master Spider's original plan. It was time to begin his next phase.
"Are you familiar with death?" Councilor Feurlis speaks calmly, deliberately, his arms behind his back and his glance directed aside. "Do you know what comes after it?" His voice is full of indifference, as if he didn’t care to hear the answer. "As fate would have it, I once found out. Only darkness awaits there, abysmal and interminable." The necromancer sharply turns his blank stare on to you, holding in his bony hand a vial of a strange dark liquid, in which something swirls and wriggles. Or maybe it’s just your imagination? "Deadly poison," explains Feurlis, breaking the short silence. "The effect is only temporary, but sufficient to accomplish our goals. Take your time and think it over. I’ll just leave it here." The necromancer puts the vial on the table and, without another word, walks away.
