Bandits live fast, but they rarely live long. Harebrained, greedy and cruel, they're usually a problem, though every now and then someone figures out how to channel their reckless lust for blood and make them a part of the solution. But those more cunning and wicked are different. They will survive no matter what, even if Death himself treads on their heels.

As Councilor Feurlis examined the port ledgers, his glance fell on a few entries marked "for magic use". Each was written by the same person: Abu-Bakir. "What are you up to now, Magister?" the necromancer thought, but inadvertently spoke the words out loud. His soft utterance quickly dissolved in the dimly lit study like an eerie echo.

Suddenly Feurlis sensed the presence of a "cleaner", and the next moment a vampire walked into his den.
"He escaped, master," reported the Councilor’s servant. "He fled into the old tunnel mazes, which several years ago were so conveniently kept from being blocked – on his own orders."
"Issue a new contract for the stalkers," replied the necromancer calmly.
"Yes, master." The dark spy bowed and hastened to leave. After the last trace of the visitor was gone, Feurlis suddenly spoke again, seemingly into thin air. "Track him down." The elusive silhouette of a spectral spy flickered behind the Councilor as he returned to studying the papers.

Lords and Ladies, the Imperial guard has reported that the raids aimed at apprehending shady characters in country taverns were a success! The Empire once again thanks you for your vigilance!

Those who joined this risky adventure and advanced to difficulty level 13 or beyond have received a special trophy artifact commemorating their achievements, with its durability depending on the highest difficulty level cleared.
