Author | How do people buy cheap things on the market so quickly? |
I accidentally posted some lots of ice crystals at the price of tiger claws. Someone bought them before I managed to buy them back.
Do people just check all the time?

Likely bots or scripts, saw that admins had severely fined some scripters a few months back, but seems like there are still a lot of players using scripts to trade elements. |
it's no scripts or bots it's just luck no more |
why did you sell em so low? you could easily get twice the gold for ice crystals |
if you selling eles that low just send em all to me and i buy them from you |
Sometimes they missed 1 digit and post it without re cheking |

Every single purchase was done about 10 seconds from being posted, my man is so lucky he would probably win the lottery grand prize twice in one night |
i mean look at this guys transfer log.. clear example of market bot. it actually doesnt get much clearer XD |
Create a complain about it, its it bot then relevant action will be taken. |
I see. Thanks all. And yes I udually sell low but this particular time was a mistake which is why I was surprised by how fast it sold. I usually don't check. |
You can try mailing him to see if he would return it for the same price |
7 minute not fast. |

Its 7 seconds :) |
Likely has market opened on all element page and sorted by newest and constantly refreshing. I'd say likely has a script to refresh the page while doing other things on another page. If not using auto buy scripts, might also have a script which highlights the lot for him if it is below a certain price. (idk if that is illegal one)
I can't say if also has buying script, I wouldn't know, but here is a link to a probable page he is monitoring.

elements sorted by newest |
I used the link provided by Hapkoman and managed to buy in 5 sec. For elements its not that hard to do it manually.

Its a script if guy buys in 2,3,4 seconds all the time. 1 by 1. I could find example but to lazy |

Yes, but then it will be too obvious innit. Maybe they have scripts that randomize the intervals of purchase so it is still possible that a human is making the trades, but quick enough to front-run the other scripters. I looked at the thread that you started regarding scripters getting fined (https://www.lordswm.com/forum_messages.php?tid=2916164) and the fined scripters are buying in around 10 seconds too, some even up to a minute, which is still possible by hand.

For Hapkoman and Arcanide
Agreed that it is likely. However if you look at his transfer log, he is consistently:
1) Purchasing almost immediately and,
2) Consistently throughout the day (excluding sleeping hours) and,
3) At below market price
Appreciate the experiment by Arcanide, but it only managed to fulfil 1 out of the 3 criteria (point 1). It is possible for a human to be a turbo no-lifer and sit in front of the computer and let a script auto-refresh the whole day and tag out the elements below market price to immediately purchase, but it's not really probable in my opinion.
And my opinion doesn't really matter that much, best to let admins investigate |
This has been very insightful. You guys clearly know a lot more about this than I do so I did as recommended and posted a complaint to let the admins decide. |
That guy is using scripts. Have already been penalized 2 times. |
there is also a guys like me, who spend several minutes in a day refreshing one of element. sometimes in that way you can find cheaper elements :D |
