Author | Siphon mana ability |
The ability description states:
"This creature can steal mana from an enemy lord and siphon it to allied casters. The stack steals 0.25 mana per creature in it, rounded to the nearest integer, but no more than 20 total. After that, mana is distributed among all allied 'Casters' equally."
Here is my last LeG combat:
https://www.lordswm.com/war.php?lt=-1&warid=1285101739&html5=1&show_for_all=Ma11713d85a
A stack of 40 vermins first drains 7 mana instead of the 10 it should. The second stack of 80 vermins drains only 5 mana instead of the 20 it should.
Is this a combat bug or an outdated description? |
It's because the hero only has 30 mana, there is a limit on how high a percentage of the hero's mana you can suck in one go. I don't remember what the exact rule is.
If the hero had 200 mana to start with your vermins would have sucked more |
But mana stealer from spawns works as the description states and steals 0.25 per creature up to 10. |
Mana siphon and Mana stealer are different abilities. To prevent Vermins from being op they capped their steal at not being able to steal more than 25% mana (mana leftover not from total possible mana) from whoever they are stealing.
so it is an outdated description as it was updated at some point. |
Thanks to you both. I was just checking with spawns because the descriptions for their abilities were almost the same. |
