Author | And the sentence to the violators of the monster hunt abuse was... |
A joke. All of them have been released from jail with just a mention of Time served. Even the repeat offenders.
2021-08-05 09:28: Character has been released from jail.
So their sentence for abuse of bugs and exploit for personal gain was just that, a month in jail. It was exactly like I said it would be, they will remain silent until it blows over which looks like took just a month. A round of applause to all the players that defended them. Props to the admins here. Their integrity is awesome. |
also note that the clan events only started AFTER their sentence |
Also note that all the people defending them are now just looking the other way, remain silent and pretend none of this happened. It's like Chopper Reid said: Keep swallowing crap and one day you will choke on it. |
We all knew what would happen. And when it will happen again, nobody will be even bothered anymore. |

Yes, it's true that Lawton's whining is getting old. Why bother answering him when we already know the outcome? |
A shame but you've been playing long enough to know how it works by now. Unfortunately we all have to make peace with it.
It's the same in real life, if you pay enough you can do what you like. |
I think 1 month is already enough. How long should a jail sentence last? Forever?
Not everyone can become active again after 1 month of inactivity. |
for Lawton:
which bug? 0: |
the bug where monster quests above level 100 were giving millions of gold reward so people made like 20 million gold etc spamming monster quests. can only be done in fully enchanted imperial/dark sets etc but for the gold they made it was well worth it |
they have received penalty in the amount of looted gold so lost all the (high) costs of the process and a month in character development. For a player grindig to develop character and motivated by gold gains, it is both a significant punishment. The penalty was big enugh to make them feel but low enough to make them return. They all seem to be rich donators/supporting game with real money. |
the gold penalty was a small portion of the farmed gold they got. was basically a slap on the wrist |

Exactly, keep it low enough so they can pay it off with diamonds. Ukraine and ginger tail are off top spot now so I think that is punishment enough for them |

Sure, but Lawton and others won't see it this way. They would rather all those big donators are banned forever and the game die in the name of principles. |

That's a problematic assumption. First, to disclose that I did not yet find out how much gold was earned by the "exploits" versus the amount of penalty enforced.. but I think 1-month of jail time is adequate regardless if it is in addition to the said fines. However, demanding fairness should not be constrained for such poor excuse of a reason that "game will die" if admins truly strived to improve their regulation on cheating practices. I sure hope not. This game doesn't solely exist because of cheaters who donate. If you really meant what you seem to be implying that the donors deserve differential treatment during enforcement of the game rules OR that leniency should be granted to certain players because of their importance to the game, then I disagree completely. Sadly, it may be happening to some extent because greed drives business.. but I appreciate Lawton and other whistleblowers for bringing this to light.
In the case of cheating, the choices that we bystanders have are limited but it helps to be aware so there is some possibility of informed decisions. |
with just a mention of Time served
Almost minus 12M and 5M, don't think that's only a mention of jail time, that's not easy money to recover.

#1519 could easily take the #1 spot if they wanted to and they will likely still finish first in this event. I give #928 a lot of credit for doing very well in this event however they are and always have been second rate compared to #1519 |
If you are worried about fairness and you understand what can influence admin decisions then surely you can levy this to make yourself heard.

Cautious analysis, that's right. What I found odd is that some players were fined and then admins gave them some gold back. |

Easy for them LOL. Also, come on give me 10 million to spend on rare enchant arts etc, maybe build a estate and manipulate market by buying up all elements, and then fine me 10 million
I dont mind staying in negative for the rest of my life when i already bought everything i need to use |

If they wanted to be top 1 in what? Events? Agree. No.1 clan in terms if earnings and BG? Strongly disagree. |
for mellor:
Yes I’m referring to strictly their event domination reputation. It’s a very safe bet they will surpass #928 before the event is over |
