Is there any reason not to do TG fights in min AP, as the difficulty is dinamically changed based on your win ratio? |

Win % would remain same regardless, so in general min ap, i did an experiment with the same with over 100 battles, it doesnt matter
One potential rationale for using mid ap could be when doing tg with non main faction and without buying potion, so it could cover up the stats at a cheaper cost |

The only benefit is for when you face real players. Most people travel in min ap. Even one extra piece of weaponry or armor could secure you an easier victory. |
Some of the replies are missing the mark a little here.
On balance min AP TG is better, most people do this, at higher TG levels thieving in min AP become highly profitable.
However higher AP does have the following advantages (based on old system, I don't know if this has changed):
Slightly higher win ratio - This is most pronounced when comparing min ap and enchanted. 100 fights is not enough to make judgements because of the dynamic balance. Those using high AP over a long time frame will see improved win %
Improved fsp ratio
Fewer losses needed to dynamically balance - The reduction percentage is determined by the fsp gained in a fight using high AP will help you balance down to equilibrium faster. Say I am moving from my main faction to a much weaker faction, if I used min AP it will take forever to start winning fights. With full AP it will be a much faster and nicer process.
Fringe benefits - more leaders guild followers, increased wins against players. |
How much do you get thieving at higher levels? I wouldn't know about that. The benefits you mentioned would make something like an enchanted weapon or robber pieces worth the use, if they're really true. @acean |

Except, it's not a fringe benefit.
LeG drops are a main benefit for many.
There are plenty of players who play all their TG in Full AP for explicitly this reason.
More LeG followers
--> More varied LeG yellows
--> More Dangerous Bandits Medals + LeG tournament Medals + better LeG event score
--> More gold earned back in both of above
--> Free CG points from LeG Tournaments |
It's hard to compete in LeG tournaments, due to time zone and the increased skill/creature collections of many players. |
How much do you get thieving at higher levels?
Gold gain is base amount at TG0 multiplied by your TG level. Off the top of my head the base gold is something like 50-70. So those with TG2 will get 100-140/fight and those with TG10 would get 500-700 gold per fight.
Say for somebody with TG10, assume 50/50 win rate (normally higher) and 600 gold/win it's 300 for each fight against artifact costs of half that for 150 profit per fight. My numbers are a bit inaccurate but you can see you will make a decent amount of gold over time. Using more arts will eliminate the profit. |
