The sea turned red. The pirates fought fiercely for their lives, but the scales still tipped in their favor. It could not have been otherwise - these waters have always been and will be under the reliable supervision of the Empire. And while its glorious Lords and Ladies finished off the remnants of the defeated pirate fleet, Warlord Grammith, in the company of the dwarve’s leader Tolgar, decided to hunt for larger prey - on Firin Red Beard himself, also known as Captain Red Beard. Tolgar had his own accounts with this vile traitor and greedy bastard, so the old dwarf did not have to persuade him for a long time, as, indeed, he did not have to look for the goal itself. Filled with overconfidence and carelessness after a series of successful raids, the pirate leader often began to come too close to the shores of the Empire - and sooner or later he had to pay for his insolence. Unless all this was part of an insidious plan...
As soon as the first cannon volleys from the two Imperial flagships thundered, something strange began to happen. In a matter of moments, the sky was covered with black clouds, abundantly illuminated by flashes of lightning with an unnatural greenish tint, and the peacefully slumbering water surface began to awaken, generating tall waves one after another. "How do you like that, imperial rats?! The sea demands sacrifices!" - with ominous notes in his voice said Redbeard, watching as the Imperial ships are trying to cope with the suddenly awakened storm. "Wave on the portside!!!" - suddenly there was a loud cry from somewhere on the deck. Indeed, a huge wave was rapidly approaching the pirate ship. The sailors immediately rushed to grab onto everything that could be grasped. Red Beard himself, with one hand, firmly grabbed the handrail on the captain's bridge, and with the other, pressed his hat tightly to his head. Suddenly, a sailing rope whistled from a powerful gust of wind whistled over the top of his head, followed by a strange rumble from behind him, as if something massive had collapsed onto the plank floor. "Help, cap!" - suddenly a hoarse voice was heard. Turning around, the pirate captain saw the first officer reaching for him with one hand, knocked down by the same rope. The hand of the dwarf holding the hat trembled for a moment, but then a greedy gleam flashed in his eyes - and his fingers closed tightly again. "Your time has come, old sea-dog", - as soon as these words had escaped from the lips of Red Beard, an uncontrollable stream of saltwater immediately swept over both of them, taking with it the pirate stunned by such an unexpected betrayal, and with him a third of the entire crew deck. Lurching hard to the right, the pirate ship soon straightened out again, and Red Beard straightened his hat and burst into an ominous and slightly insane laugh. "Get us out of here!" - he ordered the coughing helmsman, grabbing him by the vest and pushing him to the steering wheel. "Next time it will surely work out!" - Red Beard shouted mockingly, casting a glance in the direction of the Imperial ships, which in vain tried to fire at the pirate flagship, maneuvering between the endless waves. It looks like the prey escaped this time.
Dear Lords and Ladies, thanks to your well-coordinated efforts, the pirate fleet has suffered the largest defeat in recent years! Surely these scoundrels will still make themselves felt in the future, but now it's time to honor the best bounty hunters. Warlord Grammith thanks all those who responded to the battle call and made a worthy contribution to the overall victory of the Empire. The captured battle trophies will be divided among all those who have successfully recovered at least 400 silver. The artifact’s durability depends on the amount of silver gained.
