AuthorFirst Bancrupcy (or almost, 0 profits for weeks)
So many of us was curious how the market in share would play out. We see now shares becoming essentially worthless.
Facility #52 #Blacksmith of equilibrium in peaceful camp has paid out 0 in profits for their shareholders for the last 5 weeks. What do you think is going on? Why are the shareholders not voting for lower prices or a change of production? Or is it a more sinister thing going on

They are at 0 profit because they are selling at less than production cost
Oh, but they did decrease the price, down to the minimum so now the facility makes no profit.
Just change what is produced

Clickbait, companies do not get bankrupt when they are getting even :)

Profit is 0 so they are selling exactly at production cost.

#52 and #55 have same thing wih price = cost. My assumption is that main shareholders voted to lower price to cost. Why? To drop share price and squeeze minority shareholders to sell their shares?

Good catch, but that was 4 days ago. I would wager it's intentional really, it's not hard to get changes to production now that you don't need 50% of shareholders to agree.

There's also this one:

It was speculated on .ru, for exemple as a mean of pressure over the MC that own the facility, or as the most beneficial move for the community rather than rake up the prices. I didn't thought some would actually do that. Well, they are both facilities of the same MC by the way.
To drop share price and squeeze minority shareholders to sell their shares?

Could be it. The main shareholders (baring the one blocked) belong to the same MC. The same players are also shareholders in 55.
Selling at 0 profit doesnt benefit the shareholders but the mc still makes a profit from it, more so infact?
for merlin36:
Selling at 0 profit doesnt benefit the shareholders

Actually it can benefit the main shareholders on the long run. You make the facility non profitable, so the others will decide to sell their shares. And they will sell cheap. Later on, when a handful of rich players will get over 51 shares, they can make the facility profitable again.

For the reach people, 1-3k/week doesn't matter. They can keep it at zero profit for a whole year if this is what it takes to buy the other shares cheap ;)

At least the prices were around 150k I don't see any advantage of not making profit besides those are 5 weeks more needed for recover their investment :(
