AuthorSpecial Spring Offer: Sell your kidneys for the sale!
120 diamond is not unusual, definitely not after we just had 150 for the epic troops!

This is a good time to donate too, because you get not one, not two but THREE arts!! So hurry up, sell those kidneys, put 'em to good use because if not, my buddy Covid will check you out soon enough!
Jokes aside, we have been getting back to back non stop events for like the last 2 months. this offer's timing is just too "convenient"
Not complaining though. All these "donation only" shop arts' prices are dropping.
How low do you guys think DoF, CoF and RoS price will dip?
What is the best price to grab a few of those?
I think they’re taking advantage of the fact everyone’s inside. But not for much longer I expect
Anyone else think it's normal to receive the donation season announcement before the hunting season announcement (still pending on .com) though hunting season began several days ago?
for Santremus:
Same goes for dungeon event announcement, someone is desperate to get all the donations possible.

Too bad, hunting season might have reduced diamond consumption.

Eh are you sure? because most of the people inside are out of jobs now.

exactly why i wont be getting any, no income
Do people donate durning non-offer periods anymore?

Donating 150 diamonds for crossbow was fine but donating now up to 120 diamonds for 3 actually useful arts would not be?
Donating now, gives you something you can get anyway, relatively easily for some gold

Donating at time point of crossbow gets you something you cannot get easily, though perhaps will be at a later time point for a lot of gold.

Depends upon how much gold you have directly or are anticipating needing in the future for upgrading castle etc.

Perspectives of what is useful I think change a lot when you have all the arts you need and every castle building.
for Lord MilesTeg:
He was emphasizing on the price point as far as I can tell. I understand that the value of what is gained is subjective, but the price point isn't.

I was being sarcastic through my whole post. Sorry i will admit sarcasm is always harder to convey in text. What i meant was -120 diamonds might seem a bit ridiculous, but it is justified for admins since we just had 150 for one epic troop (which is an even crazier deal tbh).

Personally, the arts are kinda meaningless to me, but this is the better deal infact. I just commented on the timing of it, to have a sale in game when the whole world is dealing with corona and financial difficulties. My understanding is such that buying luxuries in game make more sense when you have secured some it in real life before hand - just my thinking though.

If you can easily, go for the sale! I might too! :D
Almost all online games now have peak time and financial problems of many individuals are secondary circumstance. This entertainment is cheaper for many than night at pub every 2 weeks and gives far more hours to stay busy.
for virtual_vitrea:
Sorry if you came to the realisation that admins are not running a charity fund.

Your sarcasm would make more sense if directed to people increasing the price of common or vital goods I would say, this is the age old profit from crisis practice.

Here I would wager that nobody is forcing you to donate your kidneys with a gun. Everyone is forcibly glued to their computer and was served a countinuous streak of events so obviously it's tempting to offer sales from a business perspective.
for Marquis Thornwald:
well i don't believe in charity in the first place, so dog barking at tree there.

If you would allow us to step out of the hypothetical this-that scenario to make our arguments for a bit, I have already donated and that as far as things go, i have more than i care for. So it was never about me. It was for those part-time kids who play this game, and are tempted to donate every sale, but this time likely out of jobs - or at least that is how it is around these parts of the world. The reason for the message is due to the simple fact that i don't like the timing of the donation/ sale banking on that irresponsible habit of spending. If you still don't get my sarcasm, no worries.. I don't need you to. Move on.

This entertainment is cheaper for many than night at pub every 2 weeks and gives far more hours to stay busy.

So it is cheap entertainment than alternative, this is a good point. Here i must concede.
night at pub every 2 weeks[/quote

God I miss pubs.

The way I see these donations are, we have set times for our regular donations (Spring, Autumn, Summer, Winter). And it's the LeG troops ones which are used to bleed the players.

Everyone is forcibly glued to their computer

Nobody is forced to sit in front of a screen at this time, plenty of other things you can do. Though yes I agree it's a good business move.
