Someone can make a guide for tribal? There is no guides for this race on beginner level- i just start play the game and in level 6 i dunno how to use tactics on it or passives... dont know about its playstile | In short, tribal is best played with defensive build. The strategy must be more offensive as you want as much tribal spirit as possible to win.
Your key stack is invaders, you will want to farm spirit on them, the rest will serve as distraction while you get more spirit, you want at least 500 spirit for a major offensive bonus. More is always welcome to decrease dampen incoming damage.
To farm spirit you need to move more often, so you want morale over luck. It also means, rapid invaders, 3 turns is enough though shamans split in 4/2 would work too. The idea also stands for centaurs, but they get fewer spirit per move and while upgraded centaurs get a massive bonus at 200 spirit, base centaurs don't, so it is not very important. Instead I would delay the main ennemy stack to help your slow invaders. Next turn spells would be dalays too.
Farming spirit means your enforcers can kill one single forest keeper, that's fine, easy and a net +120 tribal spirit. Of course though you don't do that if it puts you in a dangerous position, but, think in terms of spirit as much as what tactical advantage you will get. For other factions it would be a wasted move but for tribal it is a freebie.
When you have low tribal spirit, you must play very cautiously, once you have enough (say around 600/700) you can play much more confidently. Also keep in mind that you get the bonus from tribal spirit before an attack happens, so if your invaders look like they might not hit very hard when they have 400 spirit, you should anticipate the +3 damage bonus, it means they will do around twice the displayed damage.
That in mind, you really want at least 2 knowledge to cast tribal spells, though I like to actually have 3. With 2 I would do tribute to spirits only, with 3 I would use tribal supremacy as starter.
In terms of talents, I would go with offense and battlefury. Defense or extra morale is more in the mind of tribal gameplay but battlefury is too good to pass on. If you really want spirits abond (good in PvP to protect from shooters) I would combine it with leadership. |
