I just ran three fights in the minor tournament using a chaos build. I got absolutely hosed. Is this simply non-competitive? Am I playing that badly?
Can I get some feedback here? |
13 defense is a suicide attempt..
Play with ring of cold.. its a must have for mages, it'll give you defense aswell as pierce through magic resist.
Further, shield or scroll is personal preference. I used scroll when i was trying mage DE. |

Alright I had a look at all of them. Chaos isn't amazing for duels and chaos is a bit weak until the final magic guild.
The underlying issue is that your character is not very competitive for level 12, you only have faction 8 and your guilds aren't amazing. That is why you got destroyed.
The first fight vs the knight was potentially winnable, but you didn't play that well. As chaos mage you should never be rushing your troops forward. If you had stayed back and camped with gargoyle in the corner using defend command the knight would have had a much harder time. Instead you rushed forwards and hit crusaders and xbow
2nd fight vs the elf. No way you were going to win this. He has very strong antiskill and decent guilds. He was overpowered for CL12 and you are underpowered. No chance
3rd fight against the barb. Again this guy was pretty good, I don't think you could have won.
In pvp stats are the most important factor. |
| Okay, thanks for the advice. I've been absent for six years and am still trying to get back in touch with all the new things. :-) I'll finish up my next MG and HG levels, and start working on WG as well. |
If you plan to play as a mage, HG you can skip for later.
You might wanna focus on MGs, AGs and CG 2. |
Also your low fsp can be improved by playing lots of CGs.
They gives best ratio in game. I play CGs a lot, thats why I have tons of fsp. |
