AuthorGame year
What year is the game set in? Is there any specified year.? AD? BC?

Archaic ideas and thoughts regarding issues like sexuality and stuff in the About The Game Section and also they even let hunting be a thing..when poaching is banned world over..
The game date has no bearing on real world dating.
they even let hunting be a thing..when poaching is banned world over..

When i am role playing a barbarian to enter fights, you won't exactly appreciate me using sportscar and a smartphone to earn guild points. Hunting is what fits better, but i like your point :D

Yes I know that..but I was curious.
I'm guessing it's based in the 17th century. Because most of the current day factions seemed to have been prevalent during that century.

Except for necromancer and demon, and maybe dwarf too all other factions have been there in real life. (idk about elf, De)
The whole game is a mythology , no way I'd even give it a guess in AD , everything would be in BC if I have to predict
It is up to your imagination!

Few elves are in the north pole with Santa.

Others were in the Amazon forest till recently in hiding.
What time would you say lord of the rings is set in?
Best things in life are timeless.

Read this =p
Knight faction style points at 1400ish (plate armor and crossbows).
In our universe, it would be 1000-1500 I would say.
It's medieval for sure, with knights and castles.

In LOTR universe (which is a bit closer to what we have here) it would be somewhere in the second or third age I think.
Is there any specified year.? AD? BC?

No.

This game is a fantasy not meant to be happening in our exact world. Same as LOTR. Think of it as an alternate reality.

It just happens that the first and most literature around dragons, elves, minotaurs and other mythological creatures that you might see in this game were written somewhere in our history where people were still using swords and shields to fight, instead of tanks and airplanes. To follow that style, newer literature (LOTR books, A Song of Ice and Fire - the book Game of Thrones is based on) were placed in a similar timeline too, but also not stated. Similarly this game, or better said, the one it is based on, got inspired from such stories and you see peasants, archers, swordsmen and the like.

It doesn't seem right to write stories (or create games) that mix dragons and tanks. Maybe someone already explored writing such stories but they didn't get mainstream. Maybe someone will successfully.

We have fantasy movies happening in a timeline like WW2 (like King Fury, a parody of action movies), but with other fantasy elements instead of dragons and elves.
