It has been suggested and talked about before for there to be weekly events such as in the HOMM series brought to the game of lwm. I have had the idea that whilst this cannot be directly brought to the game a similar idea can be brought about ourselves, of course we can't increase recruit count of tier 1 units like they do in HOMM series but if it run as almost weekly competitions this can be done.
My reason for posting this is to see whether the community feels this is a good idea, as I am not sure how people would feel about it and hesitate to put this into action if no one is interested.
Basically I first have a few options for hosting the event, it could be hosted in the forum but this may clutter and not everyone reads, it could be hosted off site but then not everyone would want to do that either, and the other option is to offer free invites to my clan and host it there through clan mail.
Now onto the actual idea.
My hope for this is to get a bit of activity into the game and also for the chance for people to create friendships. I would be creating weekly events probably 1 week on 1 week off to be honest if I was doing it myself, each week a unique and new event such as most wins against a certain faction/creature most points gained in a guild, score in server events/tournaments. There are many other possibilities of course. This would then mean the top performers each week would win points and also all participants would be able to select to be part of one of 4 teams which their points will count towards, the plan would then be to give out prizes on both individual and team basis at the end of the year.
Any thoughts or ideas to help are very much welcome I may have missed something out you think is a great idea and I'd love to hear that, though I have enough weeks thought of that I could start this tomorrow and run it until summer time id be more than happy for a few helpers haha | I personally feel a really really good environment in the contest of questions in Christmas.

Would be good if something could be done for .com aswell. | The idea sounds perfect, my personal favourite format would be to hold such events one week per month.

HWM daily does this for the entire community, it just happens to be in Russian.
There is a drive to get more translators, if this is successful it may be something we can get translated and .com players can get involved. |
