AuthorTimeout Timer in Card Games
Is there anything more annoying than being on the verge of winning only to lose a game by too much time elapsing? Yes, there are a few things more annoying. Like mosquitos. Not much can be done about those. But a game timer shown on the screen during a card game doesn't seem like it would be a difficult implementation.

+1 so good idea
there is a script for that problem:
hwm_cgame_time by Demin. It tells in game time.
there are excellent sprays against mosquitos, as well as burning tablets to kill them on the spot. I'd suggest try any combination of those.

About the timer, i must say that i'm interested too, but worried about lag effects on it. Quite often i see the game's countdown change by quite a few seconds, and i'm afraid that if this happened in that timer, it may be misleading.

It is a much needed item for tournaments.
I've played thousands of card tourney games, and I've almost never seen timeout happened. IIRC one of the few times it happened was due to server connection issues so both players lagged a lot.
(Although I might've never experienced timeout since I'm used to play fast.)

So, I can see why timeout timer could be seen as an unnecessary feature. Still, it won't harm to have it.

A possible problem is that connection lag could cause an inaccurate timer, making the game ends while timer is still showing few seconds left for the player.
