Author[Event] Great Experiment
Experiment conditions :
1) All Heroes from the 5th combat level in artifacts from the store are allowed to participate. Modifiers do not work;
2) The selected skills, abilities and abilities of the factions do not work, and in battle you can not take your army and use learned spells;
3) In battle, you can recruit creatures only for the crystals of time, the required number of which will be issued by the court magician every day and will be the same for everyone. The cost of creatures in crystals will change daily;
4) Beings in the army can belong to one faction, or they may be different. At the same time, their availability is determined by the presence of corresponding improvements over time crystals;
5) When recruiting creatures from different factions, the units are reduced morale, However, the construction of the "Hall of Unity" avoids this penalty;
6) The fights will take place in the format 1 to 1 , where as a rival will be a magical copy of the army of another Hero of the same fighting level, conducting his battle in the same period of time;
7) In the standings there will be points of victories not only of the Hero himself, but also of his magical copy defeating other Heroes. In this case, the victories of his copy bring in five times less points than the victories of the Hero himself;
8) Participation in the experiment can be no more than 12 times a day; Unused attempts are carried forward the next day;
9) The experiment must be completed within 7 days until August 13 inclusive (+2 days for the end of battles and the formation of the report, until August 15 inclusive);

yeah, normally PoT for me was a low cost affair in min AP. Since we will be against copies of other armies there is a pressure to wear better arts in order to win. That copy of you will also then have a better chance to win against a normal opponent.

I am thinking about how to construct an army that is both decent for me to controlm but also where the AI may not muck it up.

Current thought is such that my AI army will have the shooting iniative but enough meat for counter hits. Some interesting thinking at any rate :)

Generally its 1vs1 between 2 players.. only difference is you fight his original army controlled by AI and he will do same.
Same stats, same settlement.
You get no new crystals for a win. So we stick to 400 but the price changes each day? will be interesting, so no high tiers today by the looks of it.
Currently 4 wins from 4 for both me and my AI copy.

Tactic that seems to work (other than the generally superior arts) is two tanky units that can often one hit anything two shooters with decent ini so often shoot first (though not always), remaining stacks on disruption duty.

Your guess as to what it is though :) If i come up against a better build I'll let you know

what does magical copy mean?
@7 Just a copy of your army. The settlement won't be copied though, or that's what I'd guess from my first fight.

Looks like the copy will copy settlement too. I watched my copy's battle :)
Actually, maybe the setup is copied as well since you have a timer for the settlement but not for the rest of the fight

Winning against AI is not challenging at all. I guess this event's result will depend on how the AI copies will battle.
@10 yeah that's a good option for checking it as well :D
Seems to be best to have full shooter army - on this basis beating an AI army with better arts or better troop combo is less easy. Not so much nuance of AI versus human in shooter versus shooter.
What's up with the 10 minute wait... It's a 1v1, there should be no waiting.

enlist time needs to be synchonised as against a real players army (just they do not play it).

Current army is this

Full shooter - only unlocked one tier and got hall of unity.

Some high ini shooters to get in first if against a shooter army, some shooters with no melee penalty to maintain damage if against a melee based army.

Works well so far

I tried a pure tribal build to limit expense on buildings, tribals goblins while deadly, are very high risk. If they turn you are rather screwed.
This topic is long since last update and considered obsolete for further discussions.
