Author | Any good calculator of lumens per room ambient? |
I bought a new house, so I need to put some lights on it...
I've been looking some calculators, but each tells a different percentage of necessary lumens/lux per area. By any chance does anybody knows a thrustworthy calculator? | What the hell are you talking about man ?
Why do you need a calculator ? Depends how much light you want in your house, a calculator is not your taste, go test what you like most and what you need most.
Personally I would pick big lights for outdoors if you have a big garden, medium lights for balcony and indoors. The most convenient setup is multi-bulb lights that you can control how many bulbs are open at a time, so casually you use only one/two of the bulbs and when you need tons of light you turn them all on.
Alternatively, I have seen those tricky lights that have a rolling switch, which works like the hydraulic water valve (the one that allows you to control the mixture of cold and hot and also the amount of water flowing). In the light case, I have seen a light that had a tricky switch like that, while you rolled it it would give brighter light and also different colour (it had multiple colour bulbs in it), but just one that controls the light amount would be enough for you I guess. I saw this light in a kid's room, which explains why there was also colour shit in it :D
Well, by now you may have already dealt with it, but whatever, here's my post one month later. | And really dude, when I read this thread's title I thought you were talking about computer graphics |
