Please tell me whether a body under free fall in free fall is uniformly accelerated or constant.Whatever the answer please explain
thx alot :D
It is uniformly accelerated due to gravity at the rate of 9.81 metres per second.
However, depending on the height of free fall and the effect of air friction, a body will eventually reach terminal velocity where it doesn't accelerate further.
In most physics questions, we assume that free fall occurs in a vaccum or that it simply undergoes negligible air resistance. That being the case it is safe to describe it as uniform acceleration. If you are doing a school question, this will be your answer in 99% of the questions.

In reality however, the acceleration has a maximum value of g=9.81m/s^2 and it is decreased by air resistance. Its the same reason what makes heavier objects fall faster in reality but when we perform the same test in vaccum - the weight of the object does not matter meaning all objects fall at the same speed.
You can also understand this using conservation of energy which states that energy cannot be destroyed therefore it is simply converted to another form. I recommend you read up on these terms - terminal velocity, escape velocity, conservation of mechanical energy and changes in the acceleration due to gravity.
i have got the answer it is constant acceleration check on net :D
and my paper over now :D
