Author | Poison ability broken |
According to the description, Poison (of poisoners/stalkers) deals earth elemental damage.
However, this damage is not being reduced by magic resistance or faction resistance, contrary to how it should be.
Proof:

What? No Lol.
Decay and Poison are different.
- Decay is Earth.
- Poison is like... "Non-Elemental" kind of thing, nor Physical.
Like "True Damage", but gets reduced by the FSL 3% Resistance thing I THINK.
Not sure tho, someone comfirm this please. |
Poisoning:
After being attacked by this creature, the target will be poisoned for two full turns taking earth elemental damage each time it would gain its turn. The damage taken every time is as much as there were poisoners at the moment of their poisoning attack. If a more numerous stack of poisoners attacks the target already under effect, the effect is renewed.
That's earth elemental damage.
Should get reduced by faction 3% resistance but doesn't. |

Not broken, just not updated. |

If it was "Earth Damage" Undead would be affected by "Poison" :P
They are affected by "Decay", but not "Poison". |
Why don't they change descriptions :/
Anyway, Still no reason for it to not be reduced by faction resistance. damage is damage. |
Back then poison ability and spell were exactly the same. At some point they changed the poison spell to decay, so it could affect undead troops too, while the poison ability remained the same.
Faction resistance reduces every kind of damage, whether it's physical, elemental or magical non-elemental. I'm not sure if that's a bug though, as I still don't have an official answer how it's actually intended by admins. |
