So in one of the campaign battles I used my trees and rooted a stack of aquatic serpents, and everything went normally, however I realized that by the definition of amphibian ability, any effect that reduces the creature's speed shouldn't work, and entangling is definitely one of them, so why did it work? |
Technically I don't think it reduced the speed of the creature, just that it became rooted and couldn't move. |
for randomr1:
description is badly trasnlated, speed means initiave, delay doesn't work on them |
Ah thanks a lot I did not know that! Very helpful!
for Marquise:
No AFAIK if it were to actually be speed it should include entangling as well. |
I think there is a difference between reducing speed to 0 and entangling (and lethargise for unholy necros), if it were reducing the speed then on the troop stats page it should say 0 speed? |
Well technically when trees root someone the speed of that unit becomes 0 so it is one of the "any effect that reduces creatures speed." |
if it were reducing the speed then on the troop stats page it should say 0 speed?
Yes and that's exactly what happens. Blinding or lethargizing are completely different, it affects the creature's turn not its speed. |
