that 18% ranged damage from Bow of midnight still only.

Probably a bug, or maybe it's just not showing.
Why not try using sword of cold instead? It will give you +8 attack instead of the hatchet's 7, and also give you +7% water damage, which will count as both melee and range. Also I think it might be cheaper to rent and enchanted SoC than a hatchet, not sure though, but SoC should be equally effective.

i have Orc tyrant hatchet [E10A10W10F10] but sword of cold only[F6].
