The difference is mammoth. I agree that the cannon levels in comparison is very drastically different, but come on, who we kidding, Canons don't really play that big a role, especially when in the first turn itself 3 of them get destroyed.
Oh I was wrong. The Canons are WEAKER in the TOUGHER battles. Wow.

Tough battle:
84 Attack
65 Defense
69-92
692 HP

Easy Battle:
125 Attack
175 Defense
57 - 80
459 HP
all that battle already beaten by a player at given CL and faction.

if you can't get 3 stars, dont blame the system. blame yourself for not learn more or blame that player for set the bar high
Yeah, keep believing the myth that that exact battle has been defeated by given CL and faction.
You say myth, how do you explain http://www.heroeswm.ru/pl_info.php?id=30547 and the other few like him who have so many watchers guild points? Just happened to only get easy ones?

with 483 WG points that is a minimum of 161 days to get that many. How many days since WG introduced? Somehow Ithink it may be close to that number.
wg battles difficulty doesn't depend on the battle you did previously. it's random, so there's no sudden spike of difficulty.
@Lord MilesTeg, that is has been defeated by given CL and faction is false information. When over a hundred days had passed after the WG was introduced, there used to be 4 people with max points of it, I checked out most of their battles. I even checked out battles of my own faction since people kept on insisting that the WG difficulty was faction based even though this would mean that the factions are imbalanced. The recruitment types of the AI troops varies, to find two battles with the exact same AI troops for given CL and faction? Good luck with that one. Like for example in a castle battle quest, the AI hero has recruited over 200 wardens while in another battle it has close to 300 brutes instead, both are seen as the same AI difficulty but one would fare better on the second one and no one can say otherwise.
Also to get max points in it, abu bakirs charm is a must to be able to skip one and get a new one.
One should realise that there's some crazy pumped monsters in .ru and so it shouldn't be unexpected that there will be some extremely tough battles since they set the bar high.

Imagine if we have ST combat in WG where admin sets the maximum difficulty to [your class], [your level], [best wave - 1]..
Won by someone? Yes, that first place guy.

But if this results in "impossible" battles, it doesn't mean that what the admin said is false. However, it may mean that it was not a good decision!..
What if the first place was a nec, got extremely lucky with ghosts and phantoms, got extremely lucky with luck, and extremely lucky with ST bonus orb positions, and knows how to play nec in an ST?
He/she got 5 tries to achieve that result. In events, you get similar styles of combats for several days..

What you are looking for is a better way to screen-out the outliers
e.g. ignore the top 5 results in the past STs and pick the next best 10 results (6th place to 16th place),
From those, random the creature count between 40% to 60% etc.
Higher WG level can play with these numbers to scale things up.
Who knows how it's actually done.
But this randomness also means that sometimes you may get really hard battles from time to time like what this topic is originally about.

Personally, I thought they have already done quite a good job on it since most battles are 3-star-able given that I thought there would be crazy records in every event battles in the past.
TLDR : sometimes a very pumped char, with smart player, and many lucky proc can set the bar high by did crazy record on events in the past.

what happen when you get that battle? unless you get those 3 things, better to skip that battle.
how can all battles alredy be beaten by someone? someone must be the first
well, WG battle are based on event battle in the past.

portal, pirates, hunting season, siege, thieving, etc.
