AuthorGold from hunts
Does the gold reward from hunts increase with combat level or guild level? Or does it stay on average below 100?
The gold reward is dependent on the number of creatures you are attacking. Each creature has a base range and increases from there as the number of creatures increases. It is not a set value of gold, but a range of gold.
Thankyou :)
So basically it mainly depends on hg level :D

Also, I have personally experienced a large boost in hunt gold after HG 6, before that I got 100-200 mostly, now I even get a few ~1k gold hunts :)
Thanks randomr not spoke to you in a while;) i was hairymonkey but abandoned the account

No, I don't believe HG has anything to do with it. It is dependent on the number of creatures in a hunt, not HG. You can have a relatively high HG level and still not have hunted some creatures - So those creatures will still be giving the same range of gold regardless of whether you are HG 0 or HG 5.

Take for example a player who plays survival tournaments and gets the HG points for winning - This player might only have done a dozen hunts and could still have HG 2 or 3. If this were the case, the creatures that have not yet been hunted will still be providing the same base range in HG 3 as they were in HG 0. So it does not depend on HG level. The reason that you saw a boost in hunt gold after HG 6 is because you are increasing the difficulty of the hunt, i.e the creature amounts, so the base ranges are increasing as you defeat each creature type. A player who was getting HG points through STs, for example, would not face the gold increase that you received.

There was a script where it would tell you whether the gold you were getting was good or bad for each particular hunt. When they were gathering the data for the script, they found that the probability of getting a hunt with a "good" or "high" reward within the given range was much rarer than getting the average amount of gold. So whereas the high reward range might have been 75% or more of the base range, it's probability of appearing may only have been 5-10%.

So while your answer that it depends on HG level may be true for someone who gets all their HG points from increasing the creature counts of their hunts, it would not apply to someone who has levelled it up getting HG points without increasing the creature count. A better and simpler answer is to say that the hunt reward depends on the size of the hunt, not the HG level.
