Why are there WAY less .Commers now than before the merge?
I remember there were dozens of Guilds full of active people, and now there are only 2-3-4 big Guilds with .Commers On (Lets be honest, its basically AnD, EFL and random .Commers in Russian Guilds or without a MC).
Also, there were dozens of people renting sets in the Trade Forum, but now we are so few that nobody does anymore.
I can play GBs for days and not see a .Commer aswell.
I mean, now there are more things than before the Merge, I dont see why there would be less .Commers.
And by this I mean we were about 1-1.5K Online months before the Merge and now we are hundreds I'd bet.
Just wanna know the CAUSE of this happening, thx in advance! |
The cause is simple: people are quitting and there are not much new English speaking players starting. People might quit because English players are ignored a lot in this game, but they might also be quitting just because they don't have time to play anymore. Unfortunately this game isn't promoted anymore outside Russia, so we don't get much new blood for .com. |
Language barrier is the worst factor I believe |

Hmmm thats true, didnt think about that tbh. |
It's simple, people will always leave, so new people need to enter to make up for them... we don't have any new players for years I guess, no one could find this game on the internet. Oh and I'm talking about the English version alone. |
at least i thanks .ru admins to keep English version alive, if they are English corporate guys, then they will close the server very early :P |
It's not only for LWM commers.. Every single game pretty much have a peak period and after a couple of years it will be outdated and soon redundant. |
Well you know, they don't profit enough from us and that's it... we are such a small community, many of us know each other... if you want to see how big the Russian community is here just log in to .ru and check their forums and how many posts there are, you would be surprised.
They advertise only Russians, we are basically the last generation of .commers if that makes sense. I'm glad they merged, if they close lwm then so much hard work ppl put in their chars would hv gone to waste. |
A new player is looking at forum for info and help just to see numerous negative threads for a non developing game where nobody listen or care and requires a fortune if you want to achieve something, not very attractive. |

That's because it's easier to lease in MC depository. |
Even if there are more .commers I don't see any benefit honestly. Why does this matter I fail to understand. |
for AKA:
More .commers mean better communication during Gb's, hunts etc, and better communication mean more motivation to play the game.
If I had to play a game full of languages I couldn't understand, I wouldn't like playing it at all. But if I play a game when I understand the majority of the languages spoke, then I'll be more motivated, and have a more thorough and fun experience throughout as I can actually socialise properly.
It's all well speaking on the forums, and over mail.. But unless you can play with people that you can understand, then there isn't a high social factor, which in turn reduces fun. |
for CertifiedRogue:
I've played with English as well as Rus. Found no difference what so ever. Rather for me Defense Battles are now better, since more serious players who genuinely know how to play and also spend on good Arts.
I find eng players more lax. As far as friendliness is concerned, never had a problem with non eng. |

I agree with this. The only thing that is bothersome is having to go back and forth into google translate several times to keep the conversation going. But its worth it as i often find non english people who are far more fun to play with. |
