Do have too that feeling that this game is no more fun?
I remember the times, when some event came and i was so enjoying it a when the event finished, i wanted more.
Now when some event start, i make few battles, i am discuted of boring insane fights.
Don´t understand me bad, but seriously with this game is something wrong. maybe i am older and cant fun by myself. One important thing is that this game is in stagnation.
I have good example, this game is like windows xp.
Anyway, i didn´t want to be rude by this topic. I just talk how i feel it personally, i would like to know how others feel it. | | i am playing from 2009, i don't have any issue of fun here :) may be i am killing my Real life :P | Maybe start frpm level 1 again! :)
or if you can start playing other factions which you havent played before

i think so too.
last time i tried so hard to finish the attempts even though i am kind of busy
now even when i am free, i dont even bother to play the event.
i guess we both are getting old :P | I felt the exact same way earlier but then came...

These are my top 3 "Amazing Things to happen to LWM"
I do only Defense Battles and Watchers Guild every day religiously. And I genuinely love these two. And before I even realize, I've spent roughly 3-4 Hours.
Defense Battles can be insanely fun with good teams. They are highly lucrative as well. And if you are really very bored, go onto enroll mode, find something else to do in life. When you get 700k ish (I think in half a year you can get that), go for a brand new faction. | | Sometimes I feel this way about this wonderful game too. Sometimes I even leave it. But I always end comming back :) | if you feel really bored and fed up dont ask for bow block or send everything to empire ....
jz simply take a break , maybe few months maybe 1 year or 2 and when you come back you will suddenly find so many new things to play and do...
i agree that this event was more challenging then others but hopefully that wont become the norm...
jz skip this 1 event and wait for the next ...=) | Build multiple faction castles.
Like I have 4 complete castles at my level , so whenever I feel bored I switches to other faction.
So just build another faction so you have 2 factions to play with, just switch whenever you are bored. | This is not about bored now, i feel this way maybe 2 years.
The problem is that here is no graphical, forming or some radical change. All the changes are still on 1 line with small deviations. Like I said, the stacked at windows xp.
At this time are even mobile games more graphical attractive.
I loved this game but there is no progress.

many of the hardcore fans demand that the game stay true to its original concept and reject any form of radical change to gameplay resulting in this game being the shadow version staying the same all this while... | I felt the exact same way earlier but then came...

Actually the problem with HoMM series, involve a big amount of young people which deliberately try to sabotage, aiming their 'hate' from ubisoft drm into the game itself. For whatever reason they didn't get if the game goes bad on sales, it will cease it's existence.
Another problem are the HoMM III fanatics, which for whatever reason they keep repeating that HoMM III was the best game in the universe, the true is, if you look the steam meta score from players, it's neutral, it's not even good, they're completely idiot fanatics which doesn't contribute to anything except sabote HoMM franchise.
The result is, the game makes less sells, in consequence they'll have less funds to work into the project, meaning they'll have to cut some content as they did on VII (a lot content actually).
Do not get me wrong, I love a lot features from HoMM VII, it has improved in many ways and has smart ideas, it's way better than VI, but it could use some more content into the package, also my main complain is about the combat mechanics being based on III and VI and not on IV/V which had a deeper tactical approach.

IMHO, the biggest problem with HOMM series is that fewer and fewer people have that much time a patience to sit in front of PC to finish a game which is not multi-player | Events are becoming crappy. I really lost the opinion in my mind that "Admins will give interesting events" (They used to give once)
What makes me stay in this game is the defense battles. Though I am not a player who does number of defence battles a day, I do whenever I get time.

Yeah they definitely are... a few years ago I remember the Russian server alone had 20k+ players online at times, now there are barely enough players to even fill QT or CG spots. Now by common sense, if number of active players halves, you need to receive double the amount of donations to keep a break even. What they don't realize is that they would receive more donations in the long term if they try to make this game more enjoyable than if they force players to donate.
Looking at the rate of decline, I doubt this game is going to survive too long, so yeah obviously events are not as much fun, even PoT has gotten dull over the last year, can you believe it? I mean the first PoT was insane, everyone loved it, it was undoubtedly everyone's favourite event, but of course the admins had to go and destroy it, making it too difficult to be enjoyable.
I, and others who complain might definitely sound pessimistic, but this is the truth, the game is in a terrible decline, though still enjoyable. I really hope they do something, like advertise or whatever, because otherwise it would be a miracle if the game even lives for 5 more years.
Another thing, really there is no point in complaining or giving ideas to the admins, I guess they just want to suck out as much money from players as they can for a few years and shut down. | I do hope they publish this game into the mobile market, keeping the servers linked between mobile and pc. This way, the game would be more accessible to more players, thus increasing sales.
They could even put ads on the mobile version for funding, which can be disabled permanently for a small fee like USD$3 | 19# I suggested some time ago that they could make this a Mobile App, so that a lot more ppl could see the game and play, so that the Adminds get more money and can really WORK in this game and make it a lot better. People would still be able to play from the browser aswell if they want.
The only reason I play now is WG (Which I like a lot btw) and Friends I have here. I have the same experience than some ppl in this thread: I play some months and then leave it, play then leave, and like this.
Dont get me wrong, this is one of my favourite games I´ve ever played, but lets be honest, it needs a serious Revamp.
And I hate how Admins deny a lot of good ideas suggested in InS, or simply just dont work in something FRESH and new. |
