Battle One:
I was being dealt 392 Damage with AI Wizard's Lightning. This after considering all my Magic Resistances from Armor, Boots, etc..
Battle Two:
I add Talents, Barrier + Resistance = 36% Resistance Total
+ I add Cape of Winds = 25% Air Resistance
So total I should get 52% Resistance considering that it is all cumulative.
Yet, the opponent now deals 246 Damage with Lightning instead of ~188.
Explain? Thanks.

Yes.
Tribal Spirit was at 0 when the hit occurred.
Spell Power was the same, I faced the same enemy.
Only change between battle one and battle two is
