I'm wondering if the total amount of damage input by decay is affected by delay/rapid skills?
I've experienced that units with high morale, tends to get extra damage from decay. Also in heroes V, if a unit cast haste/rapid on his unit, it will take more damage as it should, the contrary would happen with delay/slow, the unit would take less total damage, since a few turns would be skiped without trigger the damage from the unit, since it didn't take action.
So, how does it works in here? Does it affect the total damage or not?

The description of Conservation spirit says "Commander loses half the normal tribal spirit"
What I'm wondering is, does it also reduce the amount of damage that it supposely to reduce as well? Or it simply reduce the amount of spirit needed, without change the damage? I'll give two examples.
A unit inflicted 100 damage.
200 spirit has been lost and 50 damage has been reduced.
Final: 50 damage inflicted and 200 spirit lost.
Assuming this scenario, what would be the correctly answer?
A) 100 damage done
100 spirit has been lost and 50 damage has been reduced.
Final: damage damage inflicted and spirit lost.
Or
B) 100 Damage has done.
100 spirit has been lost and 75 damage has been reduced.
Final: 75 damage has been done, 100 spirit has been reduced.
Which one is the correct one? | A) 100 damage done
100 spirit has been lost and 50 damage has been reduced.
Final: 50 damage inflicted and 100 spirit lost.

Very interesting. Thank you good sir.
So in sume, posion and decay are creature turn based.
Everything else (rapid, stoneskin, etc.) is hero's turn based? | I'd say yes as it's stated in the thread, otherwise you would kill yourself using Mass Rapid in Decayed/Poisoned units.
Same with Mass Delay, you would prevent them from some dmg if you Mass Delayed them if Poisoned/Decayed.
So, Damage over time (DoT) is creature based (Same with Firewall and Storm from Patriarch and Alt upgraded Wizs) and Debuffs/Buffs Hero turn.
You can check anyway in a Group Battle using Stoneskin with your Druids in a Shrew from a DE, they will move a lot of times and still have the effect. | Correction: I meant Storm from Upgraded Tier 7 of Alt Wizards. | And regarding the other question, I'd say it halves the Spirit lost when protecting you from damage, literally as the skill says. So the damage you receive would stay the same, but USING LESS SPIRIT Imo.
Otherwise, the Talent wouldnt help you AT ALL. But still Im not sure.
Hope it helps. | Thanks, and I always though that rapid and decay would work the same.
I also think the spirit should work on this way, but since there ins't any source that could confirm it...
I mean, in battles the amount of damage reduced is entirely based on spirit lost, that's the biggest difference between barbarian and tribals, because tribals can absorb more, thus they lose spirit points easier...
So, if the talent would reduce the amount of spirit used, then perhaps it also would reduce the amount of damage that it will absorb.
That's what I'm wondering if this talent is not helpful or not. |
