I'd say no. It's extra 100k gold spent on one building that you're going to get very soon anyways (going from 3-> 5 happens so quickly even if you play very few battles per day).
Might as well save that for TGI, etc. |

Depends how much gold you have.
If you have more gold than you will need for required buildings etc next level up then most DUs will give you an advantage over other players.
All really pivots on what your priorities are. |
| i bought it at lev 7 when i had 2.5 million profit from roulette with tgi already bought and all constructions done, it was helpful for tg so bought it, but if its with ur hard earned, enrolled gold, definitely not. |
Gremlin engineers are not really that useful in tournaments at this level I believe.
So not much point.,if you want DU then you can probably go for Ench gargs at level 6, but that too after some consideration ;) |
| I would suggest that you will level too quickly at lower levels, to warrant the benefit. Unless, you were only going to focus on tournaments - Then you might get some more value out of it. As you go through the levels, buying the diamond upgrades, although more costly, can be a better investment simply because you will spend more time on those levels to try and leverage an advantage. |
What about Minor tournament or Paired Tournament?
If I want to participate in that then how much difference DU can make? |
In DU levels generally all Minor and Paired tournments winners have DU.
Winning without DU is highly unlikely , but not impossible though. Like for some factions having DU or not , doesn't make much difference.
My personal opinion would be , its NOT worth buying DU with gold.
Buy either with real money or just skip it , instead of that saving for TGI would be better option. |

the time span at lvl 3 is far too short. dont forget that for most tourney, the exp and fsp gain is 1.5times |
Check the last Minor tournament winner , gold medal winner got just 15k gold.
Now think yourself just to win 15k gold by spending 150k gold , is worth it? :)
And since the time span at lvl 3 is far too short you probably won't be able to play 2 Minor tournaments as you will level up in 1st one itself. |

it does, some du's can change the outcome of battle eg Counts,shadow dragon and UFC appa etc... |
| Counts, Shrews, Chiefs, Guards and Anchs etc. are some really useful DUs. For wiz I believe only Ench gargs and Lodestone make a significant difference. |
