AuthorWhy do mods of lwm have problem with websites with ads?
I had been banned today or yesterday for posting my website which shows ad before the real website. But the russian mods who are so quick and careful didn't ban me, neither deleted those posts, why?

Maybe they are too lazy to open the content...

They thought that you were posting spreading harmfull link...

No offense But I found that dumb And unneccesary
Sorry for double post

P.s- I meant the ban and post delete was not necessary.
I suggest you post links directly to the content instead of via ads.

The rules for the RU forum are different and there are also some rules that are similar but interpreted slightly different. The bans you get at COM forum are generally much shorter. Please accept the differences because I don't think it will change.
Not completely on topic,but

Did you even follow Syrian's instruction?

On topic:
We are not .ru here,we have different rules. The same way the bans you get are an hour max and not 1 month like ru mods do.
Did you even follow Syrian's instruction?
Yup I did, and have mailed secretary. He hasn't replied yet and so I didn't place any ads on lwm content but the ads are before lwm content.

Maybe they didn't open your site, I don't know. But in the forum rules as well as the general rules it is clearly stated:

SHL (spreading harmful links) is forbidden. SHL means giving reference through any of the game media to sites containing any of the following:
[...]
-other online games (!)or their advertising(!)
[...]

other online games (!)or their advertising(!)
no other online game it was, just some ad of a fashion site
I guess you don't choose which ads are displayed. I opened your site 5 times and 4 times I got an ad for some online games. If it was just some ad of a fashion site it wouldn't be a problem.
maybe they give random ads, ok then its fine to ban me for that, sorry.
I got only fashion ads whenever I opened it.

QATC
I feel obliged to respond to this.

It is not just the fact that it is a website with ads. It is the fact that you are taking your website (or a simple piece of information) and putting another website before it - One that is full of ads. When you are answering a question, it is entirely misleading to put a website with an ad which then redirects to the content after 5 seconds.

A lot of players here will be certain not to click on the ads if they followed your link, they would just find it annoying that you spam them with the ads to get a simple answer. Other players, perhaps those who are younger, might click on those ads. Some of those ads are spam based i.e "You have won $10k. Click here to collect" - Which requires you to enter your email etc. If a player was mislead into doing this, you would be responsible. To add to that - Some of the ads appearing are ads to game sites.

Again, there is no issue with integrated ads that feature alongside the content. But when you mislead the players who are seeking help into clicking on a page of ads then there is an issue. If you wish to be helpful, do so without misleading them.

At the end of the day, you got a warning ban. You have been asked not to do it and you are still fine to post links directly to the content.
