The setting sun was but a smear on the horizon of the Ungovernable Steppe. Night was quickly falling and only a few lords remained in the darkened, snow-laden streets. For almost three days Lords and Ladies alike had engaged with the Christmas Sphynx, testing their knowledge and answering her riddles. The Lords knew she would not remain much longer, for she would surely slink off into the shadows as did happen every year.
As Night’s shadowy aura cast her presence over the Empire, a Lord named Corey was to be found seated by himself in an old Inn on the fringe of the Empire Capital. There were few patrons in the inn; they had all been taking part in the festive activities. Corey had just finished sharing an ale with his dear friend Lord Syrian. Together the two friends had sat, reminiscing about the past and with the onset of night, Syrian had retired to get some rest. One memory, which the two lords found most enjoyable was the time in which Syrian had attempted to save Corey from what he thought was a murderous snowman. As it had turned out, the Snowman was not what the lords had expected. Rather than killing Corey, the Snowman had tasked the two lords with the responsibility of putting forward a test of knowledge to their fellow lords.
Corey chuckled to himself, recalling the event once more. He thought it was unfortunate that the snowman had disappeared after his challenge, for his knowledge may have matched up well to that of the Sphynx! As he considered this, a dark shadow flitted across the window alongside his table. Turning instinctively he caught the flash of a blue woollen hat at the edge of the window frame. “No… It couldn’t be…” he muttered to himself. Surely as he thought of the Snowman, his mind was playing tricks on him: Perhaps he had had one too many bottles of ale. Just as he drowned the last few drops of ale in his bottle and stood up to retire for the night, a loud crash split the air. Whipping around to stare at the now ajar door, Corey’s jaw dropped. There in the entrance, clad in blue and white woollen clothing, stood the Snowman once more… | Christmas Candy Bonanza rules:
1) This competition shall commence in this topic at 20:40.
2) Corey, Lord Syrian and a couple of International Community Council members have been tasked with asking you questions.
3) There will be 20 questions on all manner of subjects. Most will be about some aspect of the game. Some are more difficult than others.
4) The first player to correctly answer any question will receive one of my candies. Each candy has special properties when consumed.
5) A new question will not be asked until the old question has been answered. You must prove your knowledge to me, to be able to progress.
6) The ultimate decision making as to whether a question is right or wrong lies with Corey, Lord Syrian and members of the ICC.
7) There is a limit to the number of candies that can be won by a single player. The limit is 2.
8) The competition will run until all 20 candies have been won or ended if there are any unexpected circumstances.
9) These candies have no effect in Commanders' Guild or Tournament Type battles.
10) Forum Moderators may not post more than one answer per minute. If they abuse their privilege to get candy, they will be disqualified.
