Why Martin is so slow? :(
If the TV series overtake the books then we would have 2 alternate endings or worse two alternate pathways to the same ending. He better release TWOW by next year :D |
| haha :) true bout martin. worst part is he does not even bother to care. he is often seen with the tv series crew. but as far i as i know the script has gone mid of ADOS. WOW only to organize properly been taking long. a i dun think we will have to wry bout tv series overtaking book. it is quite not possible. martin would never allow that!! |

Actually Martin has a contract with HBO to direct 1 episode every season that is why he is present at Comic Con. Also he has allowed only himself to reveal future events and not TV directors so it makes sense that he is present with them at major events :p
And I think TV series will eventually take over books. TV has covered AGOT, ACOK and most of ADOS. This series will cover AFFC and ADWD simultaneously since both books happen at the same time.

Love the series. Avid reader of this series. Would be happy to answer any questions about it.

I agree! Since bringing up events already happened in books (or to happen/speculations) would be considered potential spoilers to the TV series, we'd not be actually discussing the books but rather praising or hating them :P

The person I'm most excited about is Arya. What will be her fate in TWOW? We can safely assume that despite being no one she cleverly brings up that she is Arya of the House Stark. I really loved her when she said Arya murdered the singer and not Cat to kindly man. The thing I want to see is how she wipes out the names off her list and will Faceless Men be okay with it or she eventually forgets about Arya and her list and blends in with no one .
Personally I believe she would blend in with FM as her list already seems to shrink with time. The people she wants to kill are already on their paths of self-destruction and the chances are they will be killed before Arya gets a chance to kill them but somewhere in the future she will return to Westros and rather than following her list she will wipe out House Frey.
Just imagine she kills all of Walder Frey's sons and heirs and comes to him atlast, stares at him as she stared at The Hound and before slitting his throat whispers "The North Remembers!"
Then she proceeds to capture her daughters and sell them to Slaver's Bay.
I'd like to see this happen although it is too good to be true :p

lord hard dude : very interesting thing about arya. though i am very much anticipating about jon.
i always was strong believer of R+L = J. now wit jon in this condition at end of book 5 i am very much curious wat is gonna happen next. he will revive for sure. but the question is whether he will be the same jon as before or a wolf or like join bran or smthing. any idea about it guys??!! |

Since in the TV series the Red Woman already sees Thoros of Myr revive Beric Dondarion, she knows that such a thing is possible. Since she is a lot stronger than Thoros, I'm quite sure she will revive Jon. Maybe then he'll be able to hold a fiery sword ;-) |

I believed in R+L=J theory too but Im not sure about the fate of Jon. GRRM has admitted that he changed some lines of the plot after fans figured it out so maybe he killed Jon so no R+L=J :P
If he lives then I think he possibly warged into Ghost and either Mel by blood magic or Tormund by some ancient spells will revive him. Mel will possibly kill Shireen for King's blood to revive Jon. This will make Stannis realize what he has done by having Red-Woman in his council so possibly he will kill Mel.
Now for a little far fetched speculation :
Also once he is reborn he will be free of his Night's Watch vows and may have a greater impact in future storyline by becoming Stark of Winterfell(?). He may be legitimized by other lords of Winterfell (Where is Howland Reed?).

as far as i see the fire sword denotes the dragons. the one stannis ha is a fake. mel does not know this cos see does not know yet of dragons and dannerys.

mel as far as i see has much bigger role than that. that mage who set off to join dannerys also mentioned once about her. bout jon he is infact the annointed king of the north as of now by king rob !!! it is just not known. but GRRM has openly said that we will go more into north next books. so as far as i see all are going to leave all their differences and join together against the new enemy and three dragons are gonna win them which will be dannerys, jon and that new kid. just a speculation. as of the other starks i hav no idea wat future awaits for them

We don't know that yet. But it is likely Robb didn't appoint Jon as king. When Robb was alive Jon was in Night's Watch so he can't inherit any lands or kingdoms. Most likely he appointed Catelyn Stark as his successor (Bran, Rickon, Arya dead as far as Robb knows, Sansa in KL with Lannisters).
Moreover if R+L = J then technically Jon should be the ruler of seven kingdoms and not just North. If Jon is AA reborn/TPTWP then likely he will die while battling the Others.

It is too far fetched. If Dany is fire, Jon is ice. They will battle each other and not form an alliance. I think it will be Jon + Others vs Dany + Dragons.
The Others are not just some creepy walking dead zombies but their leaders, the wights possess a certain amount of intelligence. Also Azor Ahai was the warrior who brought peace and not started a war. AA actually made some sort of peace treaty with the others rather than actually dueling with them. Jon, if he is AA will do this again.
As for Stark's children, Im more concerned about Bran and his alliance with BR + Children of Forest. What are these CoF upto? I don't think they will be helping humans rather more interested in getting Westeros back from humans.
