Guydddguy was a friend and he gave me a gift
I don't know why the penalty was imposed
He was later blocked for multi char violation
But how does that have anything to do with me? |

this penalty appears to be a "forced restitution" kind of situation, meaning it's not you, or your behavior, beeing penalised.
but if the admins considered the gift illegal (on the donor side), then you cannot keep it. the penalty is equivalent to what you illegally received. thus, in the eye of the law, you neither gain or lose. |
We persistently ask you to get acquainted with the rules and to never violate them henceforth. Otherwise, you character will be blocked.
This is the message i got from the administration
so, can i ignore the warning, since the mistake was not on my part?

Q: I got gold/resources/items as a gift and
a) I don’t know this person – he just sent all that to me.
b) I know him – he’s my friend. But I didn’t know presents are governed by the General game rules.
c) I didn’t even notice I got a gift.
Why was I fined?
A: Easy come – easy go. You only lost what you received illegally. Anything received for no reason (no description) or "dirty" reasons (received from hacked characters; as a goodbye gift from a quitter etc.) should be sent either back or to Empire.

If the player was blocked for illegal activity it may be that the administration viewed any gifts given by that player as invalid and essentially reversed them.
As the rules say, you only lost what you received - not any of your own money.

| Do not worry about that message, it is automatically sent to anyone who receives a penalty, even if it is not their fault as in your case. Just keep playing by the rules as you have been doing so already and you'll be fine. |
