| I notice some Military Clans have "active bonuses" of Attack, Defense, and Initiative. Are these bonuses always applied to the member of the clan? Do they ever go inactive? I would hate to be in the middle of a battle and have the bonus disappear. |
they dissapear after the amount of time it was applied for finishes :p
and yes they can go out in between battles too :D |

It cost the clan 1350 battle glory and it will last for 1 month.
The clan leader or deputy can activate them |
