once i accepted mercenaries guild invitation. a sword with a x on tip is there on my map. i'm trying to reach the location but i can't..

what you mean you can't travel that location? may be you engaged some GB or other battle already which is not yet started.
if not try logout and login back and move. |
If the location is Magma mines, you need to go around as there is a mountain.
From east river you could either
-Go north east then south or
-Go south then north east

or buy a mount.
It will make you reach there without any problem and surely in much lesser time. |

Do the same in the reverse process.
Go south then north west, or north south west.
