As the topic suggests , should i want for I6 or buy I5s now?
I have heard that apple might launch Iphone6 in may or june ,but its not finalized.
If its gonna launch in may or june i am ready to wait for Iphone6 ,but if its gonna lauch in september or october i prefer buying the Iphone5s now because if i wait till may/june and Iphone6 doesn't get released i would be waiting for nothing , and these 3-4 months will go waste and buying Iphone5s in june wont be valid as Iphone6 will release just after 3-4 months.
So please help me decide on what i should do. |

IMHO, s i never worth the buy as it is usually a small upgrade over the previous whole number...
So, i suggest you to wait for Iphone 6
IF you are in a hurry, i suggest you to buy a mobile from another maker...
YOu are sure what to buy, just not sure when it will be released. we wont be able to help you with that. |

in my opinion,
if you think "wait iphone6"
then after iphone 6 out, you will "wait for iphone6s"
and more..
so if you want to buy it, just buy.
if you want to wait, you'll never get one :D |

I am an iOS developer and usually go to Apple conferences like WWDC and so am pretty involved with the iOS ecosystem. I think 5S is worth the buy, I haven't heard any rumors of some big new feature being introduced in iPhone 6 and I don't think Apple will launch it soon. They will first refresh their Apple TV line of products, possibly introduce an iWatch, etc..
So, my advice is to buy 5S. |

| Well mate my friend is working in skyworks ( the company that has helped devolope Iphone 6 ) I heard him say that iphone 6 will be cheaper than 5s and will also have more features so yeah.. I would suggest you to buy a cheap mobile for now if you have emergency and wait for iphone 6 and once it gets released... buy it and SHOW OFF!!! |

Skyworks Solutions is one of the chip providers to Apple for its iPhones. I find it highly unlikely that the marketing team for iPhones at Apple would discuss the pricing with Apple. I would really like to talk to this friend of yours because if he is really privy to this information, a lot of Apple's shareholders wouldn't be amused. Also, I really doubt that iPhone 6 will be cheaper than 5S. Are you suggesting that the newer iPhone will be less expensive than the older version? Apple launched the C series (for example, iPhone 5c) to address the cost concern.

I am quoting the OP. Firstly, there are almost no rumors of an iPhone 6 launch anytime soon. Even the rumors that are floating around peg the launch date around September. You shouldn't take my word for it (you should google yourself - http://lmgtfy.com/?q=iPhone+6+release+date). Also, Apple hasn’t released an iPhone in the summer since the iPhone 4 was announced at WWDC in June of 2010.

I understand what you are saying but Apple usually doesn't finalise release dates (this makes a lot of sense because would you buy an iPhone 5S if you knew iPhone 6 was going to be launched on such and such date). But still, I find it really unlikely that Apple would release iPhone 6 so soon (this summer) :) |
