AuthorRain of arrows didnt work in my last hunt
Against sharpshooters. It just didnt do anything and went to the next turn.
did you have them selected in your avengers guild ?
You can't use it against Elf creatures
also you can't select elves creatures in avengers guild
But they aren't technically elf creatures. I know they might be in the future but...
for Nav_lfc:
You mean they aren't playable creatures? That doesn't stop them from being an elf creature. You can't use it against Elf creatures
I know what you mean.. but the system considers them as elven units.. you cant do anything about it..and you Might aswell expect them to come in the alt class of elf :)
Well in https://www.lordswm.com/help.php?section=38 it says

'All monsters at hunt are regarded as favoured enemies, regardless of who is chosen as one, except elvish faction creatures'

And right now, those creatures are not in the elvish faction. Oh well.
You've been subject to concept swap.

Playable creatures is not the same thing as faction creatures.

Playable is any creature that you can command (not just take control of). Even elementals, such as fire elemental, are considered playable: several vast groups of players are able to summon them in almost any combat. Sharpshooters are not playable for now, that is true.

Faction creatures are those belonging to a certain faction. Remember that not only players play as a faction; all MG quests except raid and monster are faction-oriented, and you will encounter sharpshoters in Army of elves or X, elves - conspirators quite often. Same counts for AI thieves or caravans, there happen combats when you face sharpshooters even standing quite next to regular GMBs.

As a final point: you are able to select gargoyles, enchanted gargoyles and grotesques in your Avengers' guild as favoured enemies. However, grotesques aren't playable by wizards yet either ;) It's all part of the concept described above.
You can find out if a creature is an elf creature or any other faction. In the creature information if they have the elf background (in the animation), then it is an elf creature. Similarly every other faction has its own specific background.

Example:
Eleven bowmen: https://www.lordswm.com/army_info.php?name=elf
Sharpshooters: https://www.lordswm.com/army_info.php?name=arcaneelf

Gargoyles: https://www.lordswm.com/army_info.php?name=stone_gargoyle
Grotesques: https://www.lordswm.com/army_info.php?name=elgargoly
Fair enough, thanks all!
