Some runes may only be applied if you for instance lost 1 of the units from that stack. This page explains it all (bottom of the page) |
| It can be used anytime in the battle, provided that the conditions of the rune is met. It probably appears in the middle of the combat for you because none of your creatures have perished in the beginning, so you cannot use the FL 1 rune (see its description). |
