Author | is caravan difficulty affected by increase in TG levels? |
can a TG2 guy have same difficulty of caravan as TG 7 guy? |
The Caravans increase in character parameters. A higher TG leveled player will have more difficult caravans than a lowered one. The troops will be the same but their parameters won't. |

No,thats why someone who jut started tg can win in mi ap while who with tg 8 can't |

doesnt that also mean, the caravans wont get easier after a point even if you lose with good fsp? |
They will get easier but not that much you may think:) they have minimum difficulty meaning difficulty wont be lowered after that, and it requires a lot of loss,now worth to try it. |
Thanks atheros =)
can i request an official reply to this one? thanks in advance) |
Caravan armies of TG2 and TG7 may be same if a TG7 person loses really a lot to decrease difficulty, and the TG2 person keeps winning. The caravan army size is influenced by guild combat results.
But the stats of the caravan characters will be noticeably different, those of TG7 much stronger in terms of primary parameters. And as you can imagine, two armies of equal numbers won't be even nearly equal in strength in those cases. |
I hope I am not hijacking thread starter's question. On the same line of thoughts I'd have some more pinpointed inquiries:
It is known that caravans' difficulties are automatically balanced by wins/losses, and there is a certain minimum difficulty for caravans. With these in mind,
1. Is the minimum difficulty of the caravans dependent on the thief guild level?
2. Each win/loss increases/decreases the difficulty of the next caravan by a certain value. Is this value dependent on the thief guild level? |

when you say more wins does it mean simply the number of wins, or the win rate? i mean if both have same win rate that is 50% and the other 50% is lost by both gaining 1 fsp uniformly, would they not have same difficulty because of difference in TG levels? |
Let's define the caravan difficulty coefficient as X.
For any PVE thief combat, the difficulty of a player's caravan X is defined by three parameters A, B, C, D which are:
A - combat level coefficient;
B - TG level coefficient;
C - class coefficient;
D - win/loss cumulative coefficient.
X is then obtained by multiplied A*B*C*D.
A, B and C are permanent values, not forever constant only because the team often performs changes on them in process of balancing. Thus when you level up, or raise a TG level, your difficulty will increase permanently (even if you shrink the difficulty by losing a lot, you would have had them easier if you stayed on previous level).
Changing faction/class also changes your current difficulty in proportion to admins' ideas of how difficult TG is for one class or another.
Is the minimum difficulty threshold dependent on CL/TG level? Not in the least. You can only shrink the D parameter by losing ambushes whilst obtaining the minimum required fsp. D is a standalone parameter not related to A, B or C.
Looks like the answer to v_v's last question is "win rate", because the final difficulty coefficient X is a product of several parameters, mathematically speaking. |
thanks alot, appreciate it.
