So anyone can donate 10,000 x our level to a friend? So i'm level 8 and i can donate 80,000 a month is that right? Can alts donate to others as well? (not to the accounts of the same person of course)

Gifts are intended to be infrequent transfers, as a thank you or on someone's birthday for example.
If you send regular payments then even if they are within the gift limits this would most likely be viewed as financial assistance and be punished accordingly.

I'm not an admin and do not know how they think. I can only have opinions like everyone else. The rule 1.13 does not really explain the finer details.
I think the gifts are intended to be used in unusual situations.
Example: My friend posted his enchanted sword for 100 gold instead of 100.000 gold. I feel sorry for him and give him 30.000 gold.
The gifts are also there for clan donations. Since you can not send gold directly to a clan, you have to send it to a clan official.
Feel free to give some gold as birthday gift. It will look odd if your friend got a birthday every second month. It will also look odd if gifts are only going in one direction. A true friend will send something back at your birthday. A friend that does not do that will not receive anything next year, will he? |

As long as you follow the rules you should be ok.
I would add that if the person you will send gold to using same IP as you, I would be careful an maybe reconsider (not because it is illegal, but because it can appear that way).
But it if he is not an you follow the rules then it is safe |
