AuthorUseful F.A.Q.s for Military Clans
{1} F.A.Q on depositing members' arts in clan Depository

Members of a military clan are allowed to place their artifacts in his/her own clan's Depository for leasing.

After verifying and clarification with our Herald, Arctic. here are the Do's and Don't's for this.

A. Depositing members' arts in clan Depository

Q1: Can members place their arts only in their own Military Clan, or are they allowed to place them in another MC other then their own?
A: Member can only place their arts for lease in their own Military Clan. Placing arts for lease in any other MC depository other than their own is strictly forbidden.

Q2: Who do members send the arts to for lease in clan Depository?
A: All arts for this purpose must be sent to the clan's Storekeeper, and no one else.

Q3: What must members write when sending art?
A: Send the art(s) to clan's Storekeeper, then send 1 gold to the Storekeeper with a proper/appropriate description.

Example: "To be deposited in clan #[number] depository for leasing."

Q4: What does the Storekeeper do with the arts received in the above manner.
A: The Storekeeper deposit the art(s) to the clan Depository.

Q5: At what price can the Storekeeper/clan set the lease price at?
A: The lease price shall not exceed the average market cost for that artifact.

For shop arts, both plain and enchanted, the total lease cost should not be higher than the rent shop price. For enchanted art, the lease prices from 'Enchanted artifact lease' section of the Art Shop can be used to calculate the 'per %' lease cost, and thus, used to calculate the total lease price of arts of various enchantments.

Q6: Can the MC make a profit from the leasing? Any max % allowed, to cover the cost of 1% commission when sending the gold to member etc?
A: There is no max % as such. After all, any clan member may choose to gift gold to the treasury, and that's just another way of doing that (leaving a share of income to the clan Treasury/Depository account).

The clan may keep a certain percentage, as long as it is agreed with each artifact owner individually. The lease price shall not exceed average market cost and the agreement should be clearly stated with a 1-gold transfer description and thus shown in the transfer logs (and "not just PM/phone/carrier pigeon", in the words of our Herald.)

Q7: What do the clan do with the gold received from a member's leased art(s)? How does the clan send the gold back to the member?
A: Since the Storekeeper cannot withdraw gold directly, either the Leader/Deputy/Treasurer withdraws the appropriate gold from Depository/Treasury and transfers it to the owner with a proper comment.

Q8: Is there a max time limit to send the received lease gold back to member?
A: No, there's no time limit. Again, the members sending the art and the clan should come to an agreement to avoid any misunderstanding.
Q9: If an art is broken [reached 0 durability], how should the art be repaired? Clan or send back to member? Who pays for the repair cost?
A: If the art belongs to a member who have placed it in the Depository for lease, there are 2 options,

- It can be withdrawn and return to the owner by the Storekeeper, and the member decides what to do with it. The member can repair it and then return it to the Storekeeper to continue leasing the art.

- The clan smiths may also repair the art directly. A clan smith repairs the artifact, and the artifact owner pays for the cost of the repair by either [i] sending the repair cost to Leader/Deputy/Treasurer or [ii] deducting from the lease gold received from leasing the art.

B. F.A.Q on Selling members' arts to clan Depository

Q10: Can members sell their arts to clan?
A: Yes, arts may be sold to clan at the cost not exceeding market price. So beginning with 0 gold (gift) up to actual price. Only clan members can sell something to clan.

Q11: If such an art is broken [reached 0 durability], how should the art be repaired?
A: Since the art is already sold to the clan, the clan can decide how to repair the art.

- if the clan has smiths with high enough SG to repair them right from Depository page without making transfers, they should do so. The clan shall bear the repair cost.

- If the clan does not have any member with high enough SG to repair them directly from Depository page, then one of the clan highest ranks who have access to the depository can withdraw the art and send it to a smith to have it repaired. The clan treasury shall bear the cost of repair.

* Word of caution: Clan officials need to exercise caution when transferring artifacts for repair, not to transfer it to an additional character of a player. Best will be to transfer the art directly to a clan smith.

As a general rule, all transactions should be made as clean, clear and problem-free as possible. Transactions of every different type should be commented by a separate 1-gold transfer with a proper description.
{2} F.A.Q on selling and buying resources/arts from own MC facilities.

Members of a military clan are allowed to buy artifacts/resources from their MC facilities and create more enrollment slots, thus increasing the income of the facilities/clan. These members can then sell these artifacts/resources in market and be compensated for any losses incurred.

After verifying and clarification with our Herald, Arctic. Here are the Do's and Don't's for this.

Q1: Who can buy artifacts/resources from clan facilities?
A: mains aren't really limited in any other way in their transfer liberties :) - As quoted by Arctic.

Any member of a MC are allowed to buy and resell artifacts/resources from clan facilities.

Only main characters are allowed to buy artifacts/resources from the MC the character belongs to. Since only main characters are allowed to join MCs, the above rule is pretty much common sense.

While the rules states that additional accounts are allowed to buy anything, anywhere on the map, it is strongly advised not to buy from MC facilities that the main account is a member of. This is to avoid bringing any unnecessary and unwanted attention from Sweepers treating such actions as financial assist, and most likely getting the additional account blocked.

If discovered, the account(s) risk (and most probably will) getting blocked for financial assist.

Q2: If a member sold the resources/arts he bought from his MC facilities at a loss, can his MC reimburse/compensate him for the loss?
A: Yes, it is allowed, subjected to the following;

- The amount should (obviously) not be a substantial difference from the loss amount incurred.
- The amount reimbursed/compensated should not exceed the Gift limit as stipulated in the General Rules.

The objective here is for members to help their MCs earn a higher income, and NOT as a form of financially assisting any member/player. So common sense should prevail.

Q3: Are the MC Leader/Deputy/Treasurer limited by the gift limit?
A: Since a MC Leader/Deputy/Treasurer can withdraw from the clan Treasury directly, and no transaction is needed for such reimbursements/compensation, the gift limit do not apply in such cases.

Q4: How does a MC reimburse/compensate members?
A: Again, all transfers should be clear and above board to avoid suspicion. The MC Leader/Deputy/Treasurer withdraws the amount from Treasury and send to the member(s) concerned with proper descriptions for both.

Example:
- "Compensation for buying/selling resources from clan facilities",

Note:

- As a general rule, all transactions should be made as clean, clear and problem-free as possible. Transactions of every different type should be commented by a separate 1-gold transfer with a proper description..

- The above is to allow MCs to maximize the use of the facilities they fought hard to win and protect. It is not a way and means for clans to financially-assist its members. So do the above with a clear conscience.
